It sounds like you've made the right decision to put a BIN on, and you obviously know the value of your item!!! The fact that he's come back with an offer suggests he does actually want it and if you're happy with the price that's great!

It's hard with ebay isn't it, to know who you're dealing with and how sceptical to be

I hope he buys it soon and you can have your money!

Well? I am on the edge of my seat having read all the shenanigans! Hope he came through and bought the thing in the end!

I am almost as excited as you about the ticket - you are doing great and it will feel fab sitting there knowing how much you worked for it! :T :T :T

Nope, he hasn't come back and bought it! But there is still 3 days left on the auction and I have one bid (but nowhere near the reserve). There are 6 people watching though so I have high hopes and one enquiry from Ireland about postage so...we shall see.

As I say - a learning curve if nothing else! Shan't do it again (B.I.N) unless I want to at the start.

    Thanks for the enquiry!

I have a bit more to update on....

QuidCo have got my £25 enquiry for Cahoot sorted - yay! So they have "added" it but we don't know when Cahoot will pay but hopefully within 1 - 3 months which I can live with.

I got home today and found a voucher from my hairdresser had come in the post entitling me to 50% off my colour when I go in next (mid February) when I will also have a cut & blow dry too. Result! That will really help.

The £1.50 I didn't spend on bus fare today (got a lift) I have put towards ticket fund so, REALLY nearly there now.

So all in all not a bad DFW day today! :D

Got any books, dvds or cds you don't want anymore? If so, maybe EBAY is something for you to tackle (or Amazon - that's easier) when you get back for a few more quid to chuck at the debts! Just a thought!

  • Bl**dy hell. I really wanted to do some free exercise tonight, to a work out DVD I was given a while ago.

I came home, made dinner and ate it ASAP so I could digest it enough for about 8pm. I had made this all perfectly clear to BF who usually has no problem in taking himself off to his study to do hobby things. I, on the other hand have no hobbies because I am effing skint and have been for ages so all *my* hobbies went down the toilet ages ago.

Anyway, BF has worked a late tonight (and to be fair has had a long day with no break) and gets home for about 6.30pm. We eat dinner. I again say I want to do the work out.

BF falls asleep on sofa so I do him a favour and do the washing up. I have no problem with this. When I come back in he wakes up and I say I will be doing the workout in about an hour's time.

So what does he do? He stays asleep and occasionally stirs, mumbling something pitiful until about 9pm when he wakes up and says "Oh, you didn't do your exercises". I say "No, it's a bit late now and you were asleep".

OK I could have woken him up but I just *know* he would have been all grumpy and made me feel like I was coldly turfing him out of his own lounge when he's tired after a long day. But why couldn't he have just gone to bed if he was that tired? He shuffled off quickly enough after I said it was now too late for me.

Every time I say I am going to do something for me exercise wise, something "crops up". I am beginning to feel like he wants me to get really fat & dependent! It's alright for him, he's not got a fat ar*e and tree trunk thighs to worry about!

I can't do the workout for the next two days so I guess it'll have to wait till Thursday now

OK rant over. I love him really and I haven't had a go about it. But come Thursday if I get the same sort of behaviour.....I won't be a happy bunny!!

    Hi LA

I read your last post twice as it didn't sound like you! Could it be the gremlins have taken over your PC?

I am sorry you didn't get to do your work out (OK, not very sorry as I am sitting here with biscuits and coffee  ) and hope Thursday turns out as planned!

Hope the BF has got the gentle message ;)
