Aww thanks bobble! I think I had a bit of a blip on the positiveness (is that a word?) the other night when I didn't get my work out though  or was that more of a "toys out of pram" moment do you think? :rotfl:
Had a work out when I got home from work tonight, feel quite pleased that I did it. Not sure if I actually like the DVD that much but it was free and I am going to persevere with it for the time being. I really want the Lilia Latin Dancing type thing workout DVD actually but that will have to wait for the moment.
Anyway, EBAY update!
I have just sold (including p & p costs) about £90 worth of stuff on EBAY :j but wouldn't you know it, we got a £96 gas bill in today
HOWEVER, it was due in, I thought it would be roughly that so, can't say I'm surprised and getting this money will help of course.
The guy who approached me about the Buy It Now didn't win the auction by the way! However he did me a favour really as when I was sorting out the B.I.N price I decided to put a reserve on the item and it went for £6.50 more than the reserve price so, I am really pleased I did that otherwise it probably would have gone for peanuts.
I got a lift into work today saving me £1.50....I put £1 in a birthday collection so I am just going to put the remaining 50p into the dancing ticket fund........chink....tis done! (I must be nearly there with that money surely...)
Feel quite buoyed by those EBAY sales.....am now wondering what else I have kicking around! Must check out that EBAY thread again soon I think.
I wonder how taxi's getting on!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Cow checking in before bed
I am sooooooooooooooo pleased about your ebay sales! Well done you! Goes to say, with a bit of effort, it can yield good results!
Pity about the gas bill but it's a necessity. Would it be any cheaper to pay for it by DD monthly perhaps?
Can't wait to have confirmation you got the ticket! Please let us know asap!
I think the other night was definitely a blip - not the LA we all know and love!
Glad you managed to exercise tonight and hope you are having a well earned rest now xxLeason learnt :beer:0 -
Hi there.
Moozie: Yeah really pleased about the EBAY sales! Got all the money by PayPal today (Lord love those overseas buyers!) so I have done a transfer over to my bank account immediately! The p&p costs were a bit less than I thought too today so I saved a couple of quid there as well. The saved cash went in the ticket fund.
Re: Utilities. I did used to pay for gas & electric by DD but I had a massive row with NPower a while back as they wanted to put my DD's up to a ridiculous amount which I objected to. I objected as it would probably mean I would accumulate credit....meaning they get the interest off my money in their account rather than the other way around. So, in the end I cancelled my DD's and said I would be happier paying for what I use exactly, the small 'saving' they offer per annum paying by DD is kind of useless if they are taking more money off you than you need to pay each month anyway, if that makes sense?
Anyway, ticket update!! I HAVE SAVED THE MONEY!!! I am now waiting till next week to hear if my friend can afford to buy a ticket too (but I am presuming no as she is in quite a tight financial position too right now) and will go in and purchase one no later than end of play 1st February!
(That's if they haven't sold out...)
So all in all not a bad day.
But I am off to bed now.....I need my beauty sleep. (So alarm call for 4pm then :rotfl: )
Night all.

Oh Lord. I thought it was all looking a bit too good to be true on my spreadsheet.
I looked ahead to February and my projected overdraft had reduced to about £750 (not including grocery shopping which I add on as I go) from £1200. Woohoo!
Except......I had forgotten to type on there the £300.55 payment for my Sainsburys loan at the end of this month
So, I will actually be about £1200 overdrawn again by the end of February when it rolls around.
OK I am trying not to let this bring me down. What are the positives right now for me?
1. I will still be paying off my Tesco VISA bill this month, it HAS to go, I have been psyching myself up for this since just before Christmas....looking forward to watching that final payment go out. This will make me very happy.
2. When that last CC bill has gone, I will be 'richer' each month cos of no credit card payments. February pay day will reap that benefit. That's not *that* far away.
3. I sold some stuff on EBAY recently which means things would have been even worse, if I had not have sold them.
4. I still have a roof over my head, I am not in arrears with anything.
5. I can still afford to buy food!
6. MONEY ISN'T EVERYTHING. Been reading some sad threads & hearing stories recently about people losing loved ones or suffering with poor health, or both. I count my blessings and say thank you.
OK, it's not a problem. It's a temporary set back that's all. Mustn't think of it as anything else.....Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

hey hunny,
it's good to hear you sound so positive after the bad od news. thats a bit poo! it feels so good to think you've made a little step forwards so it's really crap to not go forward, but it's not a step backwards which is a bonus!
keep your chin up and just think, if you can have another great ebay selling time you can build up another chunk to help with that od!

Thank LJ. You've hit the nail on the head...it feels rubbish not to move forward (when you thought you would). But as you say, at least it's not a huge reversal.
I hope I can find more things to sell on EBAY...just have three little things on there at the moment with no bids and one watcher  but if they go (*if!*) then better than nowt. Every penny really does help.
The things I sold last week & week before were quite chunky, expensive items though....haven't really got anything else like that to sell unfortunately. But I will get my thinking cap on....I might turn something up you never know.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
