Baby teething at 13 weeks!!! Help

awww, poor baby! mine tends to get 4 at a time but it can be over a few days. teeth 12-16 all cut through on the same day and he hated it - they come in the usual order for him, so 12-16 meant top and bottom were hurting on left and right, so no part of his mouth wasn't sore, he needed calpol that day but i agree about the meidsed too, if teeth pain keeps them awake at night and they don't get a proper sleep the sedative in medised can make them calmer.52% tight0

My son cut his first one at 6 weeks so I know she's talking cack! Anyway I found all I could do was hold a little cool soother to his teeth when they were painful. Calgel I found better than Bongela when he was older. One day I might be more organised...........

Is it too early to brush teeth at 16 weeks?
What toothpaste too use?
Any MSE advice?
Thanks.0 -
I used dentinox teething gel with all 3 of mine its the only thing that ever worked for DD1 (she loved the taste of it think that helped!) but dentinox is suitable from birthThe Only Thing Men Can Do Right Is Get Everything Wrong

Blimey, we tried everything on the market with our dd. Ambesol, bickie pegs, dentinox, calgel, Ashtons and Parsons. The only thing that worked was calpol. I don't like pumping them full of stuff, but she was in such pain so whenever she is teething we reach straight for that. Its quite bizarre as well, as she only seems to want calpol when she is properly ill. We have offered it to her before, when she seems to have been unwell and she has refused point blank and then miraculously in half an hour she is fine. Probably just my imagination, but it seems too much of a coincidence!"I've fallen down a hole" - said in best Monty Python voice-over.0

Nope, not too early to brush teeth if your little one has them. Colgate do a good range. They have 0 - 2 yrs. They do cute toothbrushes as well! Only put a tiddly bit of toothpaste on the brush. You can massage the gums a bit as well as this will help if there is any pain from new teeth lurking underneath."I've fallen down a hole" - said in best Monty Python voice-over.0 -
we've got a mam first toothbrush which he loves but i tend not to use toothpaste yet, will have to buy some but when i first looked all i could see were glittery bubble gum flavour ones.52% tight0

Ive been told recently that you can combine medised and neurofen
Medised is the pain relief and neurofen is like iprobrufen!
My OH's sister little boy is 4months old, and was rushed into hospital last week for a high temp. Calpol wouldn't touch him, and the dr's advised the above. Giving it and allowing 2hrs inbetween each medicine.
Please seek medical advise first tho, I dont want to pass on this advise and you find you've over dosed your LO's.
When my children were smaller - I swore by medised!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
you could call NHS direct and ask for advice about that. i have had the same advice from doctors, health visitors, etc. though. it's not meant to be used for more than a day or so really and only if the temp is very high i suppose. i had to do it with my eldest during a couple of ear infections - he would have fits from getting hot. also undressing them and sponge bathing in tepid water. i also had to do it for the baby this year when he had a nasty stomach bug and was dehydrated, hospital thought they might keep him but i managed to get his temp down (with the aid of ice lollies!).
i am often told though that teething should not cause illness, and to get it checked out if a baby has a high temp.52% tight0
