Can you tell me roughly how much you paid, what you had done for your money and, also, most importantly, how long does it last - I had botox a number of years ago between eyebrows. Wasnt brilliant in the first place as lines v deep. Had to have a top up. Botox needs a week or so to take effect and then you get a few weeks where its good and then it starts to go downhill. So have never had it repeated. Would like a facelift but suspect I would still need some fillers!0

Hi,
Been reading a few posts with interest and I think botox vs spending loads over time with creams and serums, botox comes up top.
The results you get are noticeable after about a week and they can last 3 months or longer.
Botox used to be only in the reach of the rich and famous, but now it is increasingly more affordable.
I'm a qualified and registered nurse in Manchester and started to look into this business sector about four years ago but finally bit the bullet and set up my own clinic in january this year. I carefully study the prices in the area and was able to bring in some decent price reductions for new clients.
I don't think you should ever need to pay over the odds for treatments like this which some places charge over £400 for!
We do botox for all three areas of the face for only £300 and our fillers start at only £180 for a syringe full. To compare to a well known clinic like Harvey Nicholls, they charge £225 for only HALF a syringe of filler!
We've had amazing results and if anyone would like to find out more you can have a look at our website www (dot) awaesthetics (dot) com.
I'm no way into hard sell and often turn down clients for unnecessary treatments and am happy to answer any questions on botox or fillers you might have so please do get in touch via the contact us page on there.
I think cosmetic treatments should have noticeable results and be ling lasting for the money you pay and should only be undertaken by qualified experienced nurses or doctors so send me a message if you would like any further info?
X

I seem to be still holding up pretty well despite pushing 50. Good genes certainly help there. My mother looks at least 15 years younger than she actually is.
Botox helps even more and I'm a convert to some of the cosmaceutical serums. I use one that is meant to boost collagen production and I'm still using the snail gel when I can find it. I compensate for the pricey stuff by using a really really cheap moisturiser.0 -
I had botox in my frown lines and it helped but they are too deep for botox I need some other filler eg Jeverm(?)
And the problem with botox it doesnt last long - the first two weeks its taking effect then you have about 6 weeks its great and then the next few weeks its wearing off, so I think its a bit misleading that botox is advertised to last 3 months or more, although people say the more you have it done the longer it lasts.
How have people found the other fillers that are around?0 -

The first time I had it done it lasted about 10 weeks. It's now lasting about 9 months between treatments and once it wears off the actual vertical frown lines are still much softer and less noticeable.0 -
Hi, I'm 38 and tho no oil painting, didn't really notice my 'saggy face' til my 18 year old ex neighbour pointed it out to me:( Now its all i see anytime I dare to look in the mirror:(
Wish i wasn't so lazy with the beauty routine!0 -
OMG!!!!! I know my chops wasn't in the condition it was just a few years ago (okay maybe even a year ago):eek::eek:, but last weekend a few pic's were take on my camera after a family 'do', I was absolutley mortified by them - and that was with make-up on!
I either need to spend a fortune on botox (which I can't afford, and frankly too scared to have anyway), or need to look the other way every time a camera is aimed in my direction.
Don't really know what the answer is.......0 -
trouble with botox it doesnt last very long, a couple of weeks taking full effect and then another 8 - 10 weeks gooing downhill and you need to waft the credit card again
I think some of the other fillers for the face although more expensive do last proportionately longer
Am considering a face lift it prob works out just as cheap in the long run0
