Some tips that might help give you a "lift".:rotfl:

I've had the Caci treatments in the past and they worked for me, definitely opened up the eye area and tightened the jaw. They are not cheap though and you do have to keep having them in order to maintain the effect.

However, in recent years I had problems with a minor skin cancer on my cheek so am a bit nervous about having more Caci just in case in triggers excessive cell action.

(I don't think Caci was responsible for the cancer, it was caused by a birth mark which just changed and became malignant - 4.5 years ago and all ok now). However, I am now extra cautious about products, treatments and the sun.

I am a trained beauty therapist and can recommend both serums and facial exercises.

I also make myself a Facelift Facepack which I use once a week. It doesn't perform miracles - you need surgery for that, but it does give a toned and "rested" look and gives a temporary tightening effect.

2 teaspoons Garam flour (also known as Chickpea flour)
    2 teaspoons runny honey
    Little warm water to mix

Apply to cleansed skin, avoiding eye area, leave about 15 minutes
    Use once a week

You can buy Garam flour from supermarkets - usually in the Ethnic/World Foods section.

It is also a good idea to use oils/serums and do a simple massage, every day if possible, about five minutes or so. It's hard to explain how to do massage but I'll try. There are books and you might find tutorials on the web.

Basically, the slapping/tapping with fingers movement is the one that helps "lift" the skin and tightens the jawline. It works by helping the muscles under the skin to contract. Try tapping along the jawline with two fingers, alternating each hand. Also two-handed slapping (very gently) in an upwards movement along the neck and under the chin.

    Hope I've exlained that ok.

For the eye Very Gently - taking care not to drag the skin, use your middle finger and simply apply gentle pressure to a serious of points to the eye socket - the bony area - about three points top and bottom and the two corners. Hold for a couple of seconds at each point. This helps with lymphatic drainage and so reduces puffiness and dark circles.

For the cheeks make a fist and use knuckles to gently rub small circles, working towards the nose - hope this makes sense. That should help with the naso-labial lines - the lines from nose to mouth. Also massage the line itself with one finger, again in small circles.

With one finger circular massage the marionette lines - the lines from the mouth to the chin, working inwards towards the centre of the chin.

For the forehead stroke with fingers in an upward direction gently stretching the skin in a smoothing out motion, then make a scissor movement - index finger of one hand sliding between the index finger and middle finger of the other hand, working over the brow area, finish with light feathery upward finger strokes.

Hope all that makes sense - you can see why diagrams in a book or a tutorial would help.

Bio oil makes a great facial massage oil.

Rather than type out treatments again I have posted some recipes on the Summer Solstice Sensation thread if anyone is interested.

    Bye x

I'm 38 this year and have noticed changes especially round my mouth my lips seem to go down more and pockets of sag at the sides of my cheeks and i really hate it. I bought the eva fraser facial workout made easy dvd and book years ago and have done it on and off but never stuck to it.

But i have been doing it now for 5 weeks my longest ever and i am noticing an improvement, small but gradual and i only do it now 4 times a week. I just use shea butter and coconut oil as moisturisers.

Like many i don't have lines really its the sag that i think makes you look old and i look at my mum in her fifties and don't want my neck and jaw to go like hers. Shallow i maybe lol.

Heres Eva Fraser on This Morning.

her lips would never look like that if they hadnt been plumped up. Must have that beesting stuff on them. Exercise wouldnt make any dif to lips getthing thinner. probably has brilliant bone structure. Still it makes sense that exercise is going to make a difference and I admire her.

I feel sorry for some of you girls (!! and I mean it) to have drooping at such an early age. I didnt get the dreaded droops til my 50s and I hate even more the two lines of skin down the middle of my neck. Like some of the others on here, lifting your head and smiling a lot helps :)

But practical things like - are your teeth the best they can be - I had 6 top ones capped and they really made a difference, I smiled more and looked younger. Secondly pack up fags if you smoke, it drains your skin of moisture and encourages the sagging and lines. 3rd, do have a cleanse, tone and moisture routine - it does work - took me to my 50s to find out it did and lastly, Juverderm Ultra filler :) I went last year and had filler in the lines from my nose down to my mouth and the little horrible (smokers?) lines over my upper lip. It instantly gives you a more youthful appearance. They told me it would last 6-9 months but its nearly a year now and still good results.

yes I agree about teeth am going to get mine cleaned. Really yellow yet dont drink smoke eat curry etc. Interested in the filler did you have it done just locally to where you live? Also can I be nosy and ask how much it cost? I had botox in lines at top nose between my eyes that wasnt bril and didnt last long - I wonder if you can have the filler there. I dont mind the lines round my eyes so not getting them done with anything!! thanks

I went to a Sk:n clinic - they had a 20% discount offer on and it was expensive Im afraid - I had four areas done and it cost £800 (I didnt tell OH that!). Have a look for a sk:n clinic near you and make an appointment on one of their open days - they normally make offers. The first time you have to have a doctor do it, but after that you can have a registered nurse and they are a couple of hundred quid cheaper. I did have the two lines that go up either side of my nose - on to my foreheard as they make me look annoyed all the time :) I wouldnt have them done again because of the cost and the fact my fringe covers them most of the time. But I was really pleased with them, they virtually disappeared - and still are pretty invisible. I had the lines from my nose down to my mouth, the lines above my lip and the lines from the side of my lip downwards.

But if you have just one area - the doctor said to me - just have the lines from nose to mouth as they lift your whole face.

great, I wondered if it was SK:N I think the price is actually quite reasonable. I will be patient and wait till they have a money off offer. I go to the one here in Chelmsford for laser hair removal (on my tesco points) not that I would do that again too many excellent offers on Groupon.
I think I will have a consulltation and see what they say. What did you have done in the lines between the eyes, was that filler or Botox? thanks

They do interest free loans on treatment too.

I had juverderm ultra in the lines between my eyes. I thought the doctor would say botox but he said he gets better results with filler in those lines - honestly from deep ridges they became faint lines.

Would point out, give it a couple of weeks before you are going to a special do as you can get some bruising. Actually, I didnt get any on those lines nor on the lines from my nose to my lip but I did get bruises across my upper lip. I used arnica cream on them.
