Morrisons Cafe...unruly kids and shopping trolleys!

I know there has been lots of threads about this kind of thing but just needed to vent...
I took my aunt to Morrisons yesterday. She wanted to go in the cafe which was very busy. I could have done without it but she doesnt get out much so in we went.
It was mayhem! There were lots of mums with children in there. Some of the children were well behaved but some were not. They were running about, screaming and getting in the way of people with trays of food and hot drinks. I cant abide children screaming, it drives me mad. I dont include babies in this, they cant help it. Two of the mothers had toddlers in high chairs with buggies alongside. Fair enough... I accept that they cant leave the buggies unattended but did they really need shopping trolleys full of groceries in there as well. No one could get past the tables they were sitting at.
I just cant understand how some mothers can sit there chatting on mobiles and to each other whilst their children are running around making a real nuisance of themselves. Not to mention that they are at risk of being scalded if they knock a tray over.
Why cant they be more attentive to their children and teach them some manners!
Rant over.... thanks for reading.:)

In my experience you get alot of inconsiderate people in Morrisions, they attract by far the worst quality of customer. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I just stick my foot out and trip the kids that are running around up!
Soon solves the problem!!
I have also been known to walk up to a screaming child, and say to it, can you scream any louder I cannot hear you, that normally also solves the problem!Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100/100miles

You may think you're joking, but it really is a *much* nicer place to shop, and only a wee bit dearer! Wide aisles, staff who have time for you, quality ingredients, a more relaxed feel. I figure if I have to go into a supermarket, how can I minimise the pain... ;-)clever_username wrote: »Indeed. Filthy commoners. I didn't realise that Tesco specialised in providing groceries for midgets? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Sadly i don't live near a Waitrose but i have popped into one and it does appear to be a much nicer shop and like you say not massively more expensive than Tesco or Sainsburies. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
