I too have finished today, 28 years being an agent i shall miss it badly. As soon as you look at the weekly hit list of wins and losses the stress begins. Never have i felt so stressed before, and to be honest i dont really think Provident care. I was so upset cos i liked my job, but even the Manager never came out to me. Very sad. Well Provident the way you are going you wont have any agents left soon.

Dont blame you. it seems alot of agents are hanging in there hoping and praying that other agents will make alot of noise and get them their money back. You wait and see, the ones making the noise will be singled out in the future and got rid of. It happens to employed people, let alone "self-employed" Leave as soon as you can is what I say too.

employed people have more rights so can go down the tribunal route, whereas self employed agents just have to lump it.

I have been following this thread for a couple of days or so. I don't work for provident but can see the discontent you agents have for this company. I do work for a company that does have agents, although not in the financial sector.

Reading the posts from some of you there seems to be much frustration with your head office staff, you seem to slag them off at any opportunity.

I work in a head office and would say that most of our head office work towards helping and supporting our agents and would think this would be true in your case, If this thread was about my company and you lot went on about head office staff the way you do I would be very upset and the next time one of you wanted my help I would be inclined to fob you off with a no.

I still understand your point though, just don't take it out on your head office staff.

omg cant believe agents that have hung up their clip are being treated this way, its terrible, after all the crap we have to put up with, i could write a best seller with all my stories, the trailing round in some of the most extreme weathers i can remember, its not the love of the job then that makes me go out and collect, its the fact you have your kids to feed, which is why we are all so angry that we are having our hard earned wages taken away unfairly, to all the agents that have left,i wish you all the best in your future employment
  • i myself as an agent have six customers this week that i stand to lose £15 on each customer.. these customers have only had the loan 4 weeks.. how is this right? they are only going from quailty to mid stage which should be a £5 charge, these customers were added to my book last week which make its worse. not only this last week i was charged £20 for customers that werent on my book??!!

now robbing the agents ,they cant get enough
  • Right here is how to play it ,if you are going to leave .

One word refinance ,roll the whole book over and I mean everyone you can ,obviously not non payers ,u can get massive commition over a couple of weeks, not great but at least its few quid .THEN LEAVE IT TO THEM TO GET IT BACK :-)

The powers that be have dreamt up this scheme for what reasons who knows ,and whats more they know they have made an error ..

I mean who is going to put any knew customers on their book, only an Idiot would, for the pittance commision you get off a new
customer why bother ? when u are risking losing £15 if they go pear shape ,the way forward is MASS ROLLOVERS and NO new
customers ,the commision made on roll overs will far outweigh the £15 u are going to lose ,should the excisting customer go pear shape
so when u see someone who you think is going the wrong way ROLLOVERBEETHOVEN imo :-)

    Right so heres the Plan

1 if u are going to leave roll the whole book over or what ever u can nice couple leaving weeks wages :-)
2 if ur staying roll over customers who are going pear shape this will cover the £15
3 NO NEW CUSTOMERS.. ONLY QUALITY EXCISTING CUSTOMERS, FAMILY AND FRIENDS :-)
4 of course look after your quality customers
5 say nothing if u follow this plan you will not lose any money ...

    ROLL OVER BEETHOVEN

and lets be careful out there :-)

What has really annoyed me apart from Debt management cases ,is the company agreeing to reduced rates from customers
the hitting us for £15 you cannot make it up ..

    love from bradford xxxxx
