I have been an agent for a long time now and i have made an incredible amount of money from it especially during promotions, this is here to stay and don't think that provident will stop it because they wont if you don't like it you can always join the dole line!there are plenty of people out there who will want to do this job. instead of looking at all the negatives start to focus on how you can actually make money in other ways, we now get 10 times commission for any re-issue we do there is also gasa promo which if you look at it properly and put the work in as i do you could make an extra 5 grand plus a year! offer to do runners = extra money you have to do this quick though because people don't want to wait! do fresh start do new doors new business offer to do re-issue on vacant books as we get the commission get a deputy and collect vacant books = extra commission do canvass on your own area and get your new doors it all adds up, i make on average around £500 a week and i work hard for it that's what you have to do, its not a part time job its a business our business. good luck on what ever you decide to do.

These customers were brought on by dm/canvassers and having called on them numerous times cannot get payments. In response to another posting two consecutive misses cost the agent £15 each customer as it goes straight to stage 12. I will not go near these customers doors again as if i've lost £15 on each then provident can lose the rest of the money, but as we all know it will be recycled into fresh start in about 3 months and so the process starts again. The DM's love fresh start as it counts to their figures for bonus and if they are hitting hard times this is where their figures come from.
Sorry which company do you work for ? because you do not have a clue what you are talking about0 -
I think part of the problem agents have right now is that if you ask a dm to do a call for you and that customer is not in until 6.30pm + then there is very little chance your dm will do that call no matter how much its costing you. What the DM's need to remember is your contract with the company states you will work the hours required to suit the business needs. Half the problem right now is agents are being blamed for not collecting these non payers etc but they are not the ones losing money its agents. Surely there should some penalty for DM's, AM's ROM etc also.0

If there are so many people to fill these jobs then why is there a specialist team at head office who purely do agent recruitment. its not that easy as most people wont do this type of work due to the risks involved. Who really needs clerks? if the company had followed its pda trials through then most of them would be gone. again here we have a company who want to be market leaders but fall at final hurdle for the sake of a few pounds. this would have made everyones job easier as performance could be monitored and all admin done through a tel line instead of wasting time in offices.0

Regardless of how many are in a dept there is still a department there dealing with only recruitment and we all know its been a problem for years. You cant sugar coat everything!!!0
