lets hit provident where it hurts, agents unite and do no sales, new doors or paid ups untill this is resolved. we agents are provident without us the top bosses who think they're in control would be on the dole.

Suspect your approach was why they brought in the system in the first place, general question how much have we earned over the years when we recruited competition customers during a promotion.

also my point on my earlier post, if they are going to fine us based on arrears stages which are calculated on a scale of the past 12 weeks then they should be giving us 12 weeks view of accounts and not 5.....so that we can see in advance what is due to drop out and try to recoop before the fine comes into play!!.....
  • Can any body tell me were the money goes that the company is taking off of us agents? so it as been said there are 1100 agents all over the country so they are getting from us £1100 per week only taking £1 of agents, so you can see the profit the fat cats are getting when some are losing £40 to £50 a week

whilst we are all sitting here is total dismay and utter disgust at how we are being treated as agents the higher powers are not looking at our individual charges versus commission they are looking at the combined earnings of the office/division and the DM today informed me that thier statistics are showing that agents actually earnt more on this new system despite an agent owing provident money!!

Apparently the commission bill up to march this year in our region alone was 25k, so they need to recoup that money from somewhere, and that somewhere is us agents!!!!! they giveth with one hand and taketh with the other

I find it very difficult, impossible in fact, to find any sympathy at all for people who exploit the vulnerable. You were all happy to do this until you got treated the same way.

Given the way your customers are treated how did you expect to be treated as employees?

    Karma imho.

    we are not employees

and we do not force people to take out loans the majority contact provident for a loan and we simply provide the service that they have requested by signing the contract. By the way, they have 14 days to cancel giving plenty of time to digest what has been explained and to read the literature given to them explaining exactly what they have signed up for!!

Both me and my husband are agents, we both have small rounds as we both have another job. The first week I did get an extra £80 but I have lost £15 this week. My husband had that many deductions last week that he owed Provi £8ish. This week he had less deductions so is looking forward to his £6 wages!

i dont go to customers that im going to loose on, why should we collect payments for provident and use our petrol plus have money took off us. if all agents did the same they'd have to stop what they're doing to us.
I am the same. I have 5 customers who I have lost £15 pounds for each of them. These customers were brought on by dm/canvassers and having called on them numerous times cannot get payments. In response to another posting two consecutive misses cost the agent £15 each customer as it goes straight to stage 12. I will not go near these customers doors again as if i've lost £15 on each then provident can lose the rest of the money, but as we all know it will be recycled into fresh start in about 3 months and so the process starts again. The DM's love fresh start as it counts to their figures for bonus and if they are hitting hard times this is where their figures come from.
  • just get on with it! I have been an agent for a long time now and i have made an incredible amount of money from it especially during promotions, this is here to stay and don't think that provident will stop it because they wont if you don't like it you can always join the dole line!there are plenty of people out there who will want to do this job. instead of looking at all the negatives start to focus on how you can actually make money in other ways, we now get 10 times commission for any re-issue we do there is also gasa promo which if you look at it properly and put the work in as i do you could make an extra 5 grand plus a year! offer to do runners = extra money you have to do this quick though because people don't want to wait! do fresh start do new doors new business offer to do re-issue on vacant books as we get the commission get a deputy and collect vacant books = extra commission do canvass on your own area and get your new doors it all adds up, i make on average around £500 a week and i work hard for it that's what you have to do, its not a part time job its a business our business. good luck on what ever you decide to do.

    thank you
