we are being given an A4 print out of deductions and wins as it isnt running properly on our clip!! have been told to ignore what clip says as is wrong and go off sheet.....anyone having this problem?

these arrear stages are based on a 12 week scale so surely we should be given payment details of the last 12 weeks and not 5 so that we can see which payments are due to drop out and make the customers stage drop or increase??

Typical situation.... whenever a change is made there is some sort of mess up with the clips. Printers all went down a couple of weeks ago I recall..this was even sticking in the throat of the teghnology when they put the new release in the system!!??!!

Still trawling net for advice! Not much help only to be pointed in the direction of citizens advice, where their drop in centre is convieniently open when im out collecting! £85 deductions this week, lets hope the am's have plenty of cover as after deductions of £190 in two weeks im out of there! it will be interesting to see how many DMs walk after collecting a lot of books all by themselves! As sjk24 states the clips are not showing the correct amount, mine tells me if i collect off certain customers i get fined anyway! So there you go Mr Crook i'll do my job, collect from your customers and pay YOU for the privilage............i dont think so.........:-/

This still isnt moving on though is it?

There are loads of us from different branches on here, If all the agents who posted here collected £10 of each member in their branch could someone on here not club it together and go and get some proper legal advice?

Not being funny im sure management of all levels are reading this but it is basically a group of people moaning and DOING nothing. Do you really think thats going to make them change things? I doubt it, just more bad press for provident but with the profits they are making im sure they can live with it. This needs to be dealt with by a professional solicitor or bascially we are going to have to live with it.
People do need to start putting their names to a petition or something, has anyone actually wrote to head office? No matter how futile it might be surely legally it is the first step.

I think babyape is missing the point and still lives in the old days when we were proud to work for provident and agents were valued by the company there are no positive adjustments anymore only various ways to take back commision that we have worked hard to gain in the present economic times coupled with increased paperwork and higher collecting costs due to high petrol prices the company now operates to alienate its agents not reward them and no I am not a whingeing agent I personally have not lost out on this but I have the commenscence to know how wrong it is to punish agents for things that are very often beyond their control

23000 + views on this thread. Someone's watching :)

Head Office, hello.

See how the "field" now feels. You phoned us recently for our views on working for Provident, try it again now.

It would be great to see more and more posts on here ! You know what they will say that we are just a small minority out of 11000 !!
Not 500 posts yet and some have posted more than once, would be great to hear from all you agents who are following this (and there must be a lot of you !!) Wouldn't it be great toget to 1000 posts by 2moro !! I'm sure there will be lots of opinions when those statements are printed !!! Don't forget this is anonymous !!

Im with demoralised on this havent lost any commision YET but do feel its wrong that you punish the agents when things are beyond our control, considering they are punishing us for UTR's, IVA's etc etc it definately needs a rethink.

You might all be interested in the below which was taken from a memorandum submitted by provident to the treasury select committee's inquiry into financial inclusions REPAYMENT REALITIES

25. Research for DTI by Policis looking at credit markets in several countries has shown how important it is to understand the realities that face many consumers. There is a consistent pattern showing that those on lower incomes often cannot avoid missing payments whether it is because of volatile incomes, life events (such as job losses) or unexpected expenses:
• "regular late and missed payments are a feature of credit account management for a significant minority of low income customers
26. Policis also concluded that it was useful for consumers to have credit product formats which helped them to manage life's ups and downs. This was because:
• "under uneven repayment conditions, sub prime credit models [such as home credit] can be cheaper than mainstream models, confirming the rationality of consumer choices."
12. Home collection also builds in flexibility. The agent can easily reschedule payments on the spot if that is what the customer requires. '.where does it say we will then penalize the agent'
