Hello I wonder if a Provi worker can help me. I took out a loan a few weeks ago, received the money on a Sunday so today will be week 3 of collections. My problem is no one has turned up to collect any of these payment. I have the cash sat ready for them.

I received a phone call from an area manager who asked for payment over the phone, but as I have the cash sat in my purse for the agent I couldn't do that. She told me my agent had left and gave me the name of the new one and that they will call on Friday to collect, Lo and behold nothing no phone call no knock on the door.

The only number I was given was mobile number for the area manager and I am not happy calling this number to make a payment with a debit card (will have to put the money back into the bank).

Will all of these 'missed' payments be recorded on my credit file even though none of this is my fault?

And is there any other way of making these payments for example by standing order so that I do not have share card details over the phone?

    Thanks Blue

Short answer to your question is yes any none collected payments will go down on your credit file i am affraid this is the problem with agents all resigning.

Do you know where your local office is? you could go there to make a payment and bring your account up to date. Failing that get online and go on the provi site and send Head office an email explaining everything and make arrangements for payment.

Hope this has been of some help and i hope you get it sorted.

It should not go on your credit file. Provi state quiet clearly that payments are made to an agent who will call at your house. I'm out of pocket big time, by taking my payment on a 30 mile round trip, due to my old agent not calling on numerous occasions. When that happened I should of had deducted from my loan my agents commision. I do have a new agent now whos great. The old one, well I know why he/she left provi. I'm just waiting to read about it in the newspapers. I find it disgusting how the agents are treated and I don't blame them for walking out, or quiting. But Im not prepared anymore to be out of pocket myself. I' as a customer am out of pocket by around £35 due to my old agent, who not only took the p~*s out of customers but also out of his/her collegues.

Although, thinking about it, my new agent, should she be late, does text me. She also says she wishes all her customers were like me. So should she be unable to call one week, I would willingly take the payent on the 30 mile plus trip so she wouldn't be out of pocket. My old agent would go weeks without calling, I would text and get a reply back saying, "sorry I forgot I was due to call this week)
I don't pay weekly, I pay monthly. Thankfully my cra file is looking great since being with provi. But I wouldn't be happy if it was marked late, due to my old agent. And my agent now, is great. I was recently away for a week visiting family and she was due to call whilst I was away. I texted to say I was not at home, and she called the following tuesday when I got home. I had put the money by, and paid her.
Whilst I feel sorry for the agents getting fines etc. Provi needs to sort out their act and not penalise customers who have nobody to call on them. It's down to provi to send a agent or manager. To collect payment and not down to the customer to have 30 mile trips to make payment. Loans are collected by a caller. End of.

If they are, then see a solicitor. One of the reasons for a high interest rate is to pay the agents commision. I'm about £35 out of pocket due to my old agent. I should of been paid my old agents commision when he/she never bothered calling. But I was not.
Just keep the payments safe, don't spend them. And tell the manager who called to visit you and you'll give him all the money.
It's not your fault. The deal is, when they give you a loan they collect payments from your home.

    No. Absolute tripe.

If late payments are recorded on your credit file then you can speak to Provident or the CRA themselves. No need to involve a solicitor.

Provident also have the 0800 916 6440 payment line where you can pay by card over the phone, no need to give your details to somebody via their mobile. If you are worried then record the call.

The repayments are set by the capital and APR. They have nothing to do with whether or not they are collected in person. You do not get a discount for paying over the phone on a weekly or monthly basis.

Gone quiet as most people have given up fighting. If you all lie down to this then whats to stop them increasing the fines and pushing through more charges on other things? keep fighting or move on plenty other companies out there and are a lot better than this lot
