yay at last.... remember all agents.....................if youve been hit the full £15 dont go back. provi will be losing an awful lot of customers to write off. ok maybe we will have less wages. however less wages, less tax, less petrol, less time away from home, less hassle = happyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.0

Now that's a damned good point. No doubt the pimple brained twits will come up with some pathetic excuse as justification. Although they won't fool either us, the media or the customers.
The big cheese in our branch defends them, saying that they have succeeded in significantly reducing the bad debt. Bad management on his part, as not to at least lend a sympathetic ear to a struggling agent is asking for trouble. I don't know whose eyes he thinks he is pulling the wool over either. Besides we don't give a monkeys a*** about their so called 'bad debt'. All we are concerned with is our wages.0 -

Agreed 100%, and there's more:-
Cust A: Bal £792. Rate £20. Pays £2. I earn 12p. I've stopped calling.
Cust B:Bal £392. Solved rate £2.97. Pays £1 (if I'm lucky). I earn 6p. I've stopped calling.
Cust C:Bal £120 on a £200 loan that is 292 weeks over due. I've stopped calling.
These are just a few that are already stage 11 and 12, scrap the lot I say, have the payment in our bones. I won't knock a door now for less than a fiver.
If the Provi want their money, they can get off their backsides and collect it themselves. And woe betides any section manager who dares to collect a payment on my behalf.0 -
At last someone is listening(great post stoney broke). I've been saying since this started that the only way to fight back is to hit them where it hurts-customer count. You just need to get round the fresh start the managers are doing right now. Of course you could just not go collect them as we all know they are never in anyway. In division 1 (scotland & N.I) the DOM has lost 18500 customers in a year! Wow he's doing a really good job for his 100k a year salary, I bet big BOB was glad he got out when he did, hows the cheque cashing going Bob or is that some other pilot gone by the wayside?0

hi all
Do any of you guys know if anyone has taken legal advice over the fines?
A few agents in NI have and were told by a solicitor that they have a good case but they really need to speak to a barrister who's an expert in employment law. So they intend to club together in order to get advice. Would be interested to hear if anyone else has gone down this road and if so what advice were they given. NI has just had the annual July fortnight when a lot of people take their annual holiday and quite a lot of people traditionally miss their payments over this period so quite a lot of agents will be heavily penalised over this period and should be in just the right frame of mind to contribute towards the legal fees.0 -

You're absolutely right, there is no way other than to, as you say, 'hit them where it hurts', fresh starts included, as most of them are a wasted effort, if they didn't pay first time around, what's changed? Besides we don't want to collect such paltry amounts as £1.70 or £2.20, its a waste of our time, effort and fuel. The manager claims that a percentage of them will evolve into good customers, huh, I've yet to find one. And if they did, then how long would it last?0
