    Hi mrs lds,

I love minced lamb...I think it's much tastier than beef. There's an earlier thread with some ideas that should help so I've added this thread to it to keep the suggestions together.

  • For the last couple of months i have been making the Jamie Oliver 'Feed your family for a fiver' Lamb burgers- They are really popular in our house.
Mix a cup of breadcrumbs, zest of one lemon and a teaspoon of mustard with 250g lamb mince. Shape into burgers,'rest' for 30 mins and fry. Loved by even my 13yr old DS!
  • How about BBQ Kofta kebabs
    Just use mince
a slice or two of bread that has torn up and soaked in water for a few minutes, lemon juice, cumin and coriander - Mix together and form into sausage shape and put on a skewer, cover in BBQ sauce and grill, turning regularly until cooked through.
Serve with new potatoes and green beans or a salad - yummy
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Shepherds pie? Chilli? I'm guessing anything you can make with beef mince you could make with lamb

I make bolognaise with it. And little burgers. And meatballs.

Add a little mint sauce to the burger and meatball patties. Delicious.

    Hi Phoolgrrrl,

As skintcatt says you can use it in the same way as beef mince. I think it's tastier than beef mince but it does tend to be fattier so I brown it first before adding anything else then drain off the fat before adding other ingredients.

There's an earlier thread that should help so I've added your thread to it to keep the replies together.
