Now I have it home, I am not so sure, we'll see. Going to make dinner, I had no leeks or onions left, so the soup is out, I have defrosted some filo pastry and am making a quorn mice pie with filo on top and potatoes and veg. Might even have some myself, I cannot get back into the diet at all, think my hormones are driving me insane!
quorn mice pie? :undecided
as for the diet... well i cant talk can i?
:rotfl:
ETA not sure you want to paint it or keep it?"I have learnt that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one""You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”Maya Angelou0 -
Not sure about the paint, its a veneer, and wouldn't have been expensive when it was new, probably sort of Debenhams quality I would think. BUT its a lovely yew colour, and would be really nice. Except all the wood in my house is oak coloured.
So we'll see :rotfl: I'll see what OH thinks. God I put his name again there! Doh! It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

:rotfl: I changed it before I posted. DS1 had a Harold the Helicopter, which has a wee trigger on the bottom so that it started making helicopter noises as soon as you lifted it up, I don't know how many times that thing scared the life out of me

Make sure you clean the mess up before they boys come home

Evening all,
Have been to see Mum. We got a zinc planter and planted it with a lavender and some busy lizzies. It is sitting by her bench so that the scent will be there when we are sitting with her.
We all went out to lunch and were joined by my BIL and his DC. It was very pleasant all things considered. We then went back to Dad's and spent some time with him. When we left he was visibly upset.
DH is at the allotment at the moment with DC1&2, DC3 and I are at home having tea and chilling. I am currently covered in stickers from the Postman Pat comic "cos yous a good girl Mummy":)

Evening all
(((tigerfeet and tiredmum)))Bit annoyed with the older one again. He has taken a day off cos he is not well when I know he just wants a lie in:mad: he doesn't get paid when he is off and the fact that he doesn't pay any keep because he can't afford it doesn't help. At 21 I feel he should be contributing and am really getting to the end of my tether with him.
Julie67 - forgive me if I'm talking out of place, but why doesn't DS pay keep? He should contribute something, even if it is only £10 per week. My parents made me pay 20% of my wages as keep once I was working and not in education. I do admit, I occasionally 'forgot' to mention any pay rises!
. They made my brother do the same even when he was on JSA.OK I give up...... what is SOTD?
I'd been trying to work that out too! :rotfl:
Well much better day at work
work kids were in a good mood and we had a productive day. We had painted some animal characters on wood to go up in a local Family Centre, and we took them to be put up there today. The Family Centre were so pleased with them, and the children loved them. It's really brightened up their garden.
Sadly my good mood was shaken when I got home. My mum text and asked me to ring her, and when I spoke to her she had some shocking, horrible news about something that has happened within the extended family. I don't want to discuss it here, but it's going to cause huge problems for certain family members, and upset others
. I don't quite know what to do to help other than offer my support to those in need.
I was going to do uni work tonight but I can't concentrate on anything so will just watch tv.
OS wise - DW will go on overnight, dinner made and eaten, lunch made for tomorrow.
Have a good evening all
