    Debt-free and Proud!
    Hi All,

Hope everyone is having a great day.

My day has been good again. Managed to finish my washing mountain, but havent started to tackle the ironing mountain as yet.

I did the prep for dinner yesterday so chicken tikka is in the fridge to bbq when hubs gets back from work.

Ive also sorted out on shelf in my store cupboard which is used for spices, soooo many!!! Im really pleased with what i have because now when i find a recipe i normally have everything i need. It cost a lot to set up but its well worth it.

Popped to the shop today to buy golden syrup as i want to manke twinks hobnobs, cant believe i havent made these yet - surely i must be the only person on this board not to have tried them LOL
Thats i job for tomorrow along with cleaning all the floors and bathrooms.

    Happy Thursday!

OK I give up...... what is SOTD?
I googled it and this is what I got..... don't think any of these are what is meant above.
Acronym, Definition. SOTD, Site of the Day. SOTD, Song of the Day. SOTD, Shaun of the Dead (movie). SOTD, System of a Down (band). SOTD, State of the Domain ...
Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...

Thanks...... figured from the posts that it wouldn't exactly be something complimentary. Will have to remember that one for the future. Love it!!!!!

    Morning all!

Flying visit as off to work in a bit, whoopee! Popped to Homebase for more paint for the girls, all now gainfully employed in their rooms with rollers! Looking good so far!

OS has been limited to DW, WM, BM and yoghurt! Rest will have to wait till I get home and muster the troops!

Have also sorted some more paperwork, Council Tax peeps who keep addressing stuff to ex, letter to employers about maternity leave, and refund for a debit that should have been cancelled. Also checked bank account and CB that was missed for ds has been backdated and paid in full, can't fault their excellent and speedy service! Must get more organised so I don't need to be doing extra paperwork, my own fault for not checking stuff more thoroughly!

Have a good day all, will pop back later for a read through xxx

    Morning all,

Cloudy to-day and will probably rain but I don't care have put out the washing and sorted the stuff that OH took in yesterday when it was half dry! Base ready for shepherds pie for dinner, found some steak in freezer which OH can have with the last of the chestnut mushrooms and a bit of white sprouting broccoli from the garden....he's not keen on shepherds pie but can have it to-morrow as there is enough for DD4, DGS2 and me today and OH and me to-morrow.

Jackieg....will be thinking of you in Kelvin Grove to-day, its a fabulous place and would recommend it to anybody visiting Glasgow...the great company I had on my visit enhanced the enjoyment.

Going to clean inside and outside of porch windows to-day, need to get a couple of plants to put in there as most of what I had died over the winter and have had to be thrown out. One window is always messy as the cats sleep in porch and use the window for entry/exit but I will know I have cleaned it so not feel guilty....does that reasoning make sense to anyone else?

JackieO....I hope that your grandsons realise how lucky they are to have such a wonderful granny...maybe they are too young yet but I'm sure they will when they are older.

Found a voucher (card)this morning whch I think has €50 on it, going to see if they have a pop-up gazebo as our old one was wrecked in some storm or other....not pop-up and OH found it so difficult he didn't take it down...

Listening to Rick Stein in other room as I type, he is in Malacca and am finding my mouth watering, even though I had my breakfast at 10.30...love his attitude to food and cooking.

Miecherox....glad the house is working out. Take no carp from work, good idea to take someone with you....union rep if you have one as it is so easy to get upset and not think straight in a situation like this.

Julie....think you should tell your son that you expect £1 or anything as contribution to his keep, mine always had to hand up something, even from part-time jobs and I think it taught them not to expect anything for nothing in this life....you know what he earns so set a low figure and stick to it...presume he has a social life.

    Tigerfeet...hugs, always a tough day.

Hugs to all in need or want of one

    Marie
