OK, you can pay in cheques and use the debit card in shops but i have just tried to apply on and got through to CHECK the terms and it says they share information with the credit reference agencies, so not sure if I should proceed :eek:If you woke up this morning congratulations, you have another chance :j0

It's T&C's state you cannot have a salary paid into it."An arrogant and self-righteous Guardian reading tvv@t".
!!!!!! is all that about?0 -
They did tell me that I would be credit checked but because I took in our discharge papers the manager said there should be no problem.I was advised not to do it online as even being a discharged bankrupt I would have difficulty. If you can get into your local Nat West and make an appt to see someone I think you will have a very good chance.0

I think they are likely just checking that you are who you say you are and live at your address with the credit agencies. But i am waiting with interest to see how you get on?:cheesy: K2nga :cheesy:

No you cannot have salary paid into account and you can not set up DD's either. But you could always apply for a step account that runs along side it and also have internet banking.0

I was interested to see if you can do it online as i hate going into banks as i think no matter what they look down on you which is why i wish a few of the smug banks collapsed.:cheesy: K2nga :cheesy:

Yeah u have to agreee i cannot rate YBS enough they are excellent but i would like to have savings in a few different accounts i dont know why i am like that now but i just am.
I have got 2 cashminder accounts and a barclays basic account as well as the YBS account, I also like to have the choice of having different accounts. I will never entertain the idea of having a Natwest account, if I am not good enough whilst BR then I am not good enough now I am discharged.:pB&SC No. 298

OK I have just taken the big step and applied on line, I have a piece of paper which states the following:
Your application has been submitted and agreed in principle. It will be valid for the next 28 days.
Next Steps:
You will receive your application pack in the post in the next few days
Follow the instructions within the covering letter in your pack
Check and sign the application form
Return all relevant paperwork, including original copies of any paperwork requested, within the pre-paid envelope as soon as possible
Once we receive your paperwork, we'll complete your application and send you your account number.
Your PIN number, card and cheque book (if applicable) will be sent to you separately.
Online banking:
So I guess I have a Natwest account as I presume they would have declined it right away if t was a no go?
Sorry DojoIf you woke up this morning congratulations, you have another chance :j0 -
