stingebag versus a fool and his money

Like your way of thinking guys;).
First born is a little bit too young to work yet, but when she can I will have her down the pit in no time:rotfl:As it is they all think I'm a right stingebag anyway so little will change there!
As for DH he will hardly notice the difference as I took over the reins of our finances a while ago and now hand him over pocket money....no pain no gain! He really doesn't want to know how much day to day things cost as long as we can eat, keep warm and have a roof over our heads then he asks no questions.:D
I feel I will hopefully be on track with my mission as long as micramobile doesn't go to automobile heaven in the next few years and I am not taking into consideration DH overtime/bonus money.
Bring in on I say;)0 -
Good luck and welcome!
All the best,

Welcome and I am sure you will manage your fool (now I am thinking of Mr T saying "you crazy foo" :rotfl:)Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0

Welcome Stingebag. I love your names for everyone, and i think you will find a few of us have hubbies that just let us get on with it without too much attention. Mine only notices it when a letter plops through the door and i leave it lying around. Otherwise i take charge.
We are both a bit stingy though, although generous in spirit.
Good luck along the way.

The only exception I can think of is SAHM...
No no keep the AFAHM! It's different (which is good) but most importantly it's very funny :-)

Hi everybody, thanks for more kind welcomes:)
Sorry to mess you about but think I will just call my nearest and dearest "a fool".....sort of fits in with my warped sense of humour ( too many years being the only woman working in a male environment;)).
As for my management techniques Pippa80....I think that a sharp poke with a long stick would best describe it:D.
Did have a bit of good luck mind you today as firstborn has been granted NHS approval for orthodontistry treatment which could have set us back quite a pretty penny...thank Goodness I ignored the advice of my own dentist who refused to refer us:mad:
Any way cheers to one and all once again for your kind remarks:)0 -
Today I'm feeling rather proud
:D:D
First overpayment of £600 to Northern Rock on it's way:j.....Hurrah I shout Hurrah!!!!
Been quite a stingebag over the past few weeks without anybody really noticing;). First Born has still had her girly treats, Baby Boy still as happy as Larry (who ever Larry is) and A Fool blissfully unaware of my task in hand:).
Managed to purchase a rather stylish sun dress from the local car booty for a bargain £1 and was complimented by one and all on how fab it looked:D. I have even managed to turn off my central heating on a morning....major task for me as I'm a right wuss with even the slightest of chilly mornings;).
Anyway - enjoy the long weeked holidays everybody!
