    Just read through that EllenGB - it's on Page 4 that market value reduction is mentioned as jem16 said earlier.

    DunstonH, you don't have to go back far to see that one or too have accused me of not being accurate. As in, I'm inaccurate. not writign what is accurate. Look it up. Indeed, your post now suggests that I'm stupid and dishonest (i.e. I have wrongly interpreted claims of not having done things, having things, not having things etc). Yes, it's become a long thread but as you can see, a lot involved mudslinging between a number of people with financial knowledge. Let's not go into denial and revisionism. It was personal, and you do not have to have four degrees to have observed the personal aspects, e.g. confusing, stupid, don't understand, etc. You still think I'm wrong, based on links. AVIVA man did not inform me of a time limit. Documentation I have in my possession does not. Had the problem not been resolved, I could only argue that I did not have the relevant data based on what I had just prior to and just after I signed on the dotted line. I could have provided the FO will all the documentation. I did not, and was not asked to check a specific link on MVRs before I signed and then sign that I had read what was on the link as well as the documentation in front of me.

    A good scientist plays close attention to detail. And if you know a bit of law as well, that means you're probably not going to do well on a forum like this. I may be the proof. Back to immunology.

    EllenGB, who was responsible for this? Did you buy the wpb direct from Aviva/Norwich Union, through a bank, or via an IFA?

    My IFA had a fondness for NU bonds at the time (not anymore).

    From what I understand, regulations applying to a "financial advisor" through a bank and a real IFA are likely to be different. Unclear which you are referring to, useful to clarify which type you dealt with?

    Read Page 4.

    Heading - Where is my money invested?

    Bullet Point 6 - it begins;

    We may apply a market value reduction if you take money out of our with-profit funds.

    Can you see this now?

    By the way I sent you a pm but you haven't answered.
  • EllenGB, leave the main protaganists to it - and their link to the gospel at Aviva - a link to a Key Features PDF which you surely must have in your hand :rotfl:. They have allowed absolutely zero tolerance for the fact you might easily have been given a document that is indeed headed Key Features but which is an early version that got changed, or is the wrong version. They issue so many bits of paper and so many versions of them - chances are yours is unique anyway !

    The fact the industry has embraced "Key Feature Documents" as some kind of ultimate truth shows how far down the line we have travelled since I became a Fellow of a relevant institution.

    Enjoy your Easter !
