    Morning Folks!

Looks like the weather will be turning up here today :( Oh well, it has been nice while it lasted, and it means I can catch up on the housework today :rotfl: I am funny, don't you think - I am never going to catch up! This week's daytrips will be the funfair /park one day, as I have BOGOFs for that and Bothwell Castle, and maybe Camera Obscura or Edinburgh Castle depending on weather and CBAness :o

I have taken some turkey mince out of the freezer and am making burgers for the menfolk for dinner, and have puff pastry which need using, so will make some sausage rolls for the freezer, DS2 also requested a chocolate cake yesterday so I'll sling that in the oven at the same time, and do some bread rolls.

OH is in a much better mood now, he ended up coming home just after 12 yesterday, did a couple pf heavy things in the garden for me, then got changed after lunch and took the boys and Coco to Strathclyde park for a few hours. He looked so much more relaxed when he came back, and said he felt like he had been on holiday, poor man is exhausted, I shall try harder not to react or overreact to his snappiness this week :o

Hope everyone is OK, and that TF's little one is getting better.

Hugs spoons and hi fives all round people,

    Jackie XXX

    morning everyone

Had a busy weekend, got a week off work :j:j along with H. Kids really need this as since he was working all the hours in March they are soooooo clingy for him.

Not doing any housrwork today as it's H's birthday so we're packing a picnic and heading to Stratford. it's sunny and dry here at the mo so hopefully that will last, don't mind if it's a wee bit cooler.

Not sure about tea as I am taking H to cinema to [STRIKE]lust after[/STRIKE] watch Bradley Cooper in Limitless. H really really loves his Subway sandwiches so I fear that's what we'll be having for tea  Still it's his birthday so can't really say no :o

Nowt else to report, have a great day everyone.

    Hugs and spoons all round.

Well, that's summer over, it's pouring down here! This always happens, I just get used to some nice warm and sunny weather which entices me outside and then the rain spoils all my plans! Oh well, the washing will go on the airers. DD gone off to work, DS2 and GF (very nice girl, chatty and helpful) went back yesterday, did manage to get their bedding washed, dried and ironed yesterday so that's a bonus. DS2 made a Bailey's cheesecake over the weekend which was lovely, well done to him.

JackieG, glad your trip to the zoo was good, I was in Edinburgh on Friday and the weather was great.
JackieO, how lucky you were to have such good weather for your holiday, glad you had a good break.
Hugs to everyone who would like one, hope everyone is feeling ok.

Off to clean the bathrooms in a minute, not going swimming till this afternoon as DD wants to go after work (this will be my 5th day in a row!) and a general tidy round, spent the last 2 days pressure washing the deck outside which now looks great. Just need some dry weather to put a coat of something on it.

No change in the situation with DS1 and GF, they were meant to come for a bed yesterday but didn't show up. Don't want to contact them as it will probably make things worse.

Enjoy your Mondays all, take care. XX

ETA Happy Birthday to Mr Beans!

    Morning :hello:

Mr tru's just left, he starts his new job today.

Our garden actually looks like a garden again. We put some grass seed down a couple of days ago, so I'm willing that to grow ATM :D

We've got two more chickens, a Rhode Island Red called Red and a Rhode Rock called Rocky. They spent yesterday afternoon being chased by the other girls, at about 8pm one flew into a neighbour's garden and the other flew the opposite way and ended up at our kitchen door. I sat them on my lap and clipped their wings this morning, one was a bit nervous and I now have to wash my dressing gown :D We bought them from HERE, they have a fab set-up.

I have to nip to town this morning, then home to sort out the not-used-much bit and pieces from the kitchen. There's things tucked away in our bedroom and lounge, I'm sick of them not being in their proper place. I have to cut some shelves to fit the cupboards too. Might spend the afternoon in the garden, tidying up edges etc. if it's not too hot.

    Good Morning All

Bright sunshine here again :j OH & DS already working in the garden. We have taken up some decking - and an old patio, they both flooded everytime it rained. OH is in the process of putting down type 1 and then we are having chippings of some sort with a few slabs. Once that is done we shall start fence staining.........we have a lot of fences :o

I havn't been able to help because of my back, while it is better its still not 100% but I have been supervising :D

I too had a lovely weekend, didn't end up getting much done but relaxed a lot. We went down to China Town yesterday evening, had a lovely meal which was very reasonable and got a free parking space. Lovely walking around the West End in the sun.

Today I really need to get on. Am planning 4 hours in the office today - must make them 4 productive hours!

This afternoon hope to get some ironing done.

Roast chicken for dinner - have actually menu planned this week:T

Hope you all have a good day.x

Yes. It's the first time I've done it so I was a bit nervous. I found THIS on You Tube. I sat them on my lap do it though, and held them close so they couldn't move the left wing. The other girls have never tried to escape, but I might clip their wings anyway.

Happy Birthday Mr Bitsy :D :bdaycake:

I would be too terrified to do that, I can't even bring myself to clip the dog's claws :o Good old youtube, is there anything that you can't find on there?

    Morning all!

Happy birthday to my dd1 who is 16 today!

Got lots of stuff planted yesterday, and really enjoyed the sunshine, though still had to spend a large part of the day horizontal - blood pressure is still low! Looking a bit grey and damp here today, so quite glad that we got most jobs done!

Today will involve more being horizontal I suspect, some cleaning and tidying, though I have all my willing (?) helpers at home today as the hols have started, yippee! Tonight in true family tradition we shall get a takeaway of the birthday girl's choice :)

Currently in need of more tea, as next door's boys and their friends are playing out on their scooters and jumping on and off the pavement, creating a lot of clanking and the noise is making me cranky! My lot make, or certainly used to make, a whole lot of noise, so I ought to be immune to it by now lol!

Have a good day all, tea and catch up time I think! xxx

ps Has anyone got any food processor recommendations? I'm looking at them, and planning to use my doubled up tesco vouchers to pay! Can't decide whether to just buy a processor or go the whole hog and get a Kenwood Chef that does everything except make the tea! Any thoughts would be much appreciated x
