Found another local Saturday carboot, so going to give that a go tomorrow, I am on a mission to sell out of 'items of interest', but still haven't raided the loft for more items yet.
House is out of control. I'm not going to attempt to clean today, just tidy so it stops bugging me so much. Then hopefully I'll be able to get on with the cleaning if I can maintain the tidiness.
Starting with the spare room... where the stuff I haven't finished unpacking from my last trip is still lurking0 -
Happy Birthday to Lady Liberty
Loads and loads of washing on the line. Big list for town written - my 'babies' fly to the US on Monday
I'm also taking a bag to the charity shop so I AM flying...

I'm sure it will! I'm trying something similar, unless it's really easy to put away straight away.
Done 3 HHCs back-to-back, swapping rooms after 15min so I don't get bored. I struggled with the last 15min in DS2's room, as it's so bad that it was difficult to find something sensible to do in there for a short time. I ended up doing a few other jobs around the house (DW, hoover LR, flinging, try on a dress for the reunion - too tight). Having a cuppa now and then getting in the bath so we can go out.

When is the reunion Mrs C?
While tidying upstairs I have emptied my wardrobe. And have been pleasantly surprised by what fits... (including... although only just... my interview suit from when I left uni nearly 15 years ago!) but... I don't need the work wardrobe I used to have... I have two Jaeger suits that I use for work travel, and TBH they will probably do me for the occasions that I need to go into the office. So what to do with the other suits and smart/casual stuff? I don't have the time or energy to ebay. Should I pack them up and take them back to my parents in case I get an office-based job in the future? Or should I just bite the bullet and get rid of them. Its depressing... hundreds, if not thousands, of pounds worth of clothes that I wore regularly a couple of years ago. But I need them out of the way so that I can see and wear the clothes that are still useful! And I'm going to make an effort to wear everthing in my wardrobe. In fact, I might put everything on the spare bed, and only put it back in my bedroom once it has been worn and washed... that way, next time someone comes to stay I'll have to make a decision on the rest!
Any suggestions for freshening up white shirts? Given how infrequently I wear them I don't want to buy new ones, but I've noticed that mine are slightly discoloured under the arms - should I just soak in laundry bleach, or do they need scrubbing with something?
I have a few things so far which will definitely be gong... just need to decide when/how/where to get rid of them.
Now... do I clean the nice empty wardrobe, or go and face mowing the lawn?0 -
