My mother rang, which delayed things a bit. I've mowed half the lawn, but the mower is still misbehaving. I've come to the conclusion that its because the garden is small, and I had hardly any lawn last year, so it doesn't run for long enough and get hot enough. So I've tied the handle up and left it at the back of the garden to run for a bit in the hope that it improves. Smelly, and not necessarily nice for the neighbours either, but as its not a very nice day, hopefully there won't be too many of them out! I think it MIGHT be sounding a bit better, so I'll give it a bit longer and see how it gets on.

Need to go back and deal with the wardrobe for a bit longer...

Happy Birthday LL, hope your having a lovely day. :bdaycake:

I have spent all morning gutting the boys room, 3 bin bags out, all toys sorted and put away, bed remade, books sorted, school bags sorted and cleared out (will wash them later), all games back in cases, games gathered up thats to be exchanged for new ones, window cleaned, skirting wiped and bedroom hoovered. :D

Still need to sort through all underwear, clothes and shoes but i'll do that this evening. DW now on for the second time and a duvet in the wm. Need to make the kitchen sparkly next.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Have started on decluttering the European toy mountain which was in our dining/family room and then spent 2 mins deleting out all the tasks done and cutting out unnecessary words and shrinking to size 1 to make remaining list look shorter - not sure if that's allowed but it's made me feel better:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

When is the reunion Mrs C?

in 3 weeks, 7th May (enough time to shrink into the dress :D)

Should I pack them up and take them back to my parents in case I get an office-based job in the future? Or should I just bite the bullet and get rid of them.

If your parents have the storage space, I'd save at least some, in case your work circumstances change. Could someone e-bay them on your behalf on commission? I remember that you had a similar issues with evening wear and found a solution. Would you be able to do the same?

Plan for today (not necessarily in that order):
    [STRIKE]breakfast [/STRIKE]
laundry - 3 lots pegged out
    DW - needs emptying now
make DS1 tidy space at bottom of loft stairs
    [STRIKE]bath and dressed[/STRIKE]
2 HHCs each in bedroom done 1, bathroom done 1, DS2's room done 1, back yard/garden
walk into little town centre with DS2 - left it too late, so will need to go to Mr M's
    school stuff
    HW with DS2
phone hotel re DH's reunion weekend - need to phone back on Monday
car stuff (please fling fluffy mule if this is still on the list by teatime) - made a start, waiting for reply from friend now
    bake a cake or two
    plan tea

Just having lunch, then I've got to get to Mr M's for DH's prescription. I think the second lot of HHCs may not happen today.

    5 loads of washing done
    4 hung out..
    2 brought back in dry..
Just put another 2 loads in so hopefully the rain will hold off.. though it is really cloudy out there now :( I want to get my bedding in tomorrow.

    OH did the DW

While scratting about in my room looking for shoes for DD1 I found a box I thought contained books.. turned out it has clothes that fit Squeak now so her wardrobe has been emptied so I can fit it in there.. I have a binbag of her outgrown stuff to go on netmums.. She hasn't worn most of it more than once so even if this one is a girl it is unlikely it will be needed anyway... we only tend to dress her if we are going out.. or when we are at his mothers.

I keep making the girls do some tidying in their room I think they hate me.. and I think I might not care!!!! They WILL get that room clean before they go back to school.. I'll bully the boys next and DD2 has been given a wash basket.

All the school uniform is now washed ready for going back in 2 weeks.. :D

    Afternoon

    Happy Birthday :bdaycake:Lady L

DH has done following resealed bath & sink, washed car & stripped DS2 bed.

I have done 3xWM now on whirly thing, sky keeps going dark so I have brought some in but it is the time of year here that things don't dry quickly inside. I have remade DS2 bed.

Have been to city centre and bought some stuff from lush and rubber gloves on 3 for 2 :D. Kids have spent their pocket money. Went to get school shoes but DS1 is nearly too big for current size 7 and next size were far too big to buy. He is a very narrow fitting so I'm at a loss what to do. DS2 also has very narrow feet and I couldn't find plymsols to fit him.

Just deciding what to do next will do HHC 4pm I think whilst waiting for Mr T to deliver

another massive spend in town on the plus side both the Vallikids have hiking trainers that were reasonably priced.

LR all clean and sparkly after a pretty chilledout day. Now I've decided to go walking tomorrow for the day I'd better get a move on with the rest of the rooms. BR and Spare Room are next on the list then bathroom, then HHI then kitchen dog walking and tea and football.

    Better hurry up then!
