My home is a mess

Hello Gilly! good to see you again. I'm glad that things are going fairly well for you, and how exciting about the approaching wedding.
:)
Podperson, sorry I didn't notice your earlier post. I hope you're picking up now (health, rather than clutter), it'll help now you feel virtuous!0 -
Well I am back
The bedroom is completely decluttered, floor is found, bed is changed, mattress turned, three loads of washing done and hanging up to dry in the spare room.
If I carry on like this the world will be my lobster in the
de-messying stakes
Baked Camembert in the oven, glass of white wine at my side - now for a quiet night in.
Have a good evening all x0 -
Have a very good evening, gilly!0

Hi everyone
For those who are mealplanning I am addicted to it. Have been doing it for over a year now and I go into a bit of a meltdown if it doesnt work out for any reason.
Sounds like everyone is making progress somewhere along the way. I have had a really busy week - and been full of cold - but I have been trying really hard to stick to my intentions of doing some tidying/de-messying every day. Its easier said than done but I know that if I do stuff as I go along it makes life so much easier.
Hi Gilly, nice to see you around and sounds like you have been busy!
Well I need to make some plans of what I have got to do next week. Hope we dont get too much snow! In fact I didnt want to buy any more coal this month so I dont like the temperatures that have been forecast.0 -
Oh good grief, just lost a complete post. Sigh.
Here's the abridged version...
I haven't kept up with posting so hope everyone is well and happy, and having a good start to 2013.
I still have the nasty virus and a week back at work made me feel dreadful. I've had to go back on the paracetamol today - it seems to be dragging on forever.
I have a routine getting ready for work too Emm... I've got it down to such a fine art now, it feels like Groundhog Day!
My broadband router (ancient wired version) just died (well I did spill water all over it, so fair enough). It's high time I upgraded anyway, so have taken the plunge and signed up for my provider's special offer package which is only about £5 a month more than my old package, and with more stuff.
Only problem is I have to wait nearly three weeks for an engineer (can't take time off work and must have an evening slot) so using a mobile broadband dongle 'til then. And I have to clear up for when the engineer comes! Is three weeks enough time?!
Hugs all round, take care messies...I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

THREE WEEKS?! I had 24 hours!! so three weeks is ample
Hi messies,
Not been de-messing still, as head aches have stopped me sneaking around and doing the odd load of washing and dis-infection of hall way and such (That's what i get for banging my head on everything)
I was going to clean on friday but i had an appointment with my counselor and forgot all about cleaning after that, just went to bed and slept. Planning on cleaning on monday (yes, i have to give myself at least 24 house to charge-up for a rampage on the flat) but that'll have to wait till after counselling too, lets just hope that my battery doesn't slump after that session.
How's everyone doing? Well and healthy I hope x1924 Sealed Pot Challenge 2013 Money at the moment-£64.30 :j:j

Am in messy meltdown.
Mum goes to Florida Tuesday, "boyfriend" type person is visiting on Friday. He is arriving at 4.15. (he doesn't get me being a teacher and needing towork late!) (I have parents evening and tutoring all week basically)
House is a MESS.
And I need to go to Sainsburys.
And I have earache and sore throat and a tummy ache
*whine whine whine whine whine whine*
so yeah, Happy Sunday all!

Afternoon Messies.
YL, I hope you're feeling better now, but well done for keeping going.
Jps, tbh, I'd feel ill just walking into a secondary school these days, but I know you love it. Sadly, much as we (and those who depend on us) would like, getting well takes time. Take care.
HopefulMS, if you will go round nutting various solid objects, you will get headaches! Seriously, though, I hope the aches go away soon and, like jps, take it easy.
Buffy, I love the expression 'boyfriend type person' :rotfl: Hopefully, he's a lot more interested in you than the state of your house and, anyway, men aren't often particularly interested in such matters. DON'T PANIC! And I hope you, too, feel better soon.
Bright, breezy and pretty cold here. I finally got around to starting to tidy the drawers, but got distracted by (1) finding that my 60 year old teddy bear has been attacked by moths, and ruined.(2) one of the cats trying to help me. Oddly, I didn't want to store her in the drawer. I've taken out some bits to throw away, and moved items between drawers to make a more sensible arrangement. The bathroom's been cleaned, and the washing's sorted. I need to sweep the kitchen floor - goodness knows how it gets quite so many bits all over it! And I've actually got the clean bedding out, so the bed will be done today!
PS Kitchen floor now swept (needs a wash, though, tomorrow), and another WM load put in.0 -
Just popping on to wish you all a good week,
