Blast it, thought I'd lost the post but I hadn't! Oh well, sorry for the double entry.

Good luck to all messies, I'm studiously ignoring my mess for today! Hope everyone is safe if the storms hit.

Hmm managed to lose a post... hope the shower is fixed soon snookey, I hate it when stuff goes wrong.

I will not be doing de-messying today, I will be crocheting a rag rug and peering sadly out at the rain! Oh, and watching DVDs, drinking coffee and maybe eating sweeties.

If I get cabin fever later, I might don the Niagara cape (I do really have one from a visit to Canada a couple of years ago!) and walk along the canal towpath.

poor jps your in a bit of technological pickle this morning ;) Your day sounds a bit like mine (without the setting foot outside bit ;) ) it's a definite feel good day. We're fully clothed but sitting with our dressing gowns on with tea and hot choc for the kids. I really like the cosiness of autumn but not in the summer!

I'm doing very basic chores today. I just CBA. Had very little sleep so that doesn't help.

Well all my garden seems to be loving the rain, except my poor little petunias, which look very very sad. At least I don't have to water the newly planted tayberry - should be picking lovely fruit next year from that!

Fuddle, so pleased that you feel ok today. You sounded so miserable yesterday. Have a good day, whatever you do.

Debt free, a miracle machine, eh? :) We're going to have our lounge carpet cleaned soon - we have no hallway, so straight into the lounge from porch. Can you imagine the dirt? :(

Oo, Snookey, no shower's really bad news. We had no bathroom for a week, awful having to wash and brush teeth at the kitchen sink. Hope it's repaired soon, for the sake of your cleanliness and your sanity! ;)

Your day sounds pretty good to me, Jps! :T

Well, as you might expect, it's blowing a hooley down here near the Needles. As far as I'm aware, though, there's little damage, except the odd small branch and loads of leaves down. I feel really sad for the nesting birds. I hope no threatened species has lost its nest overnight, or even now, when the gusts are very strong. It seems that quite a few folk are stuck here or stuck on the mainland wanting to come back here, as some ferries have stopped running altogether, and even the big car ferries are struggling to run a service. "Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside!"

Being a lazy moo is fine and allowed, fuddle. Just enjoy it! :)

Because I went AWOL for a while, I confess to having forgotten all about your new job, MM. It's so good to hear you're enjoying it :T. I guess you're exhausted cos your brain's having to take in a lot of new information. Is this your first week?

Ohh be safe bearcub, it's getting a bit rough.

MM glad you are enjoying the job!

I am not only being lazy, I'm also eating too much... they kind of go together for me. Sigh. Never mind, I'll knuckle down for six weeks from Monday to be a bit more healthy.

Taking dd to a party at our local cinema tomorrow . Hope the weather is better by then as we will have to walk around shops until its finished.
Messymare glad your enjoing the new job. Bearcub I remember when our kitchen was being gutted and we had a pipe with a tap on for two weeks. It was terrible as there was also dust everywhere. At least the bathroom is okay apart from the shower although its at times like this you wish you had a bath.
    Hugs to everyone.
