My home is a mess

Motivation yak today.
I have stuff all over the place and would like it just gone but I'm sat here snuggled into a snoring puppy and I quite like it! I'm not moving for at least 30 mins.
Hoping to report that the mess is shifted later.0 -
Mine is the same JPS- our lawn is fit for a motorcross track, the flower beds are full of weeds and my raised beds aren't exactly well planned! It is usually peaceful though, and I do like to sit and look at it from certain angles (you can't see how much of a mess it is from some angles!)
:rotfl:talking of angles... when I take pics of mine for a gardening forum, I always angle the camera strategically to avoid showing weeds, mess and general embarrassment... it's amazing how good your garden looks when you take pics at the right angle!
ETA hugs fuddle, and all messies... I feel a bit low too today, not sure why but I think those dastardly 'ormones have something to answer for!I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Hi all!
Just checking in as I haven't been around for a wee while. My Daddy died very suddenly last week, so had to fly to Belfast and leave all my mess behind!
Been a very stressful week, so haven't had time to check in and see how you are all doing. Hugs to all who need one!
BTW, had to clear my dad's house in just a week, and I have to say, thank God he wasn't a man for clutter! A lot easier than it could have been!Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D

lol at camera angles. When I take phot's of my kids it's normally infront of the fireplace as there's never really any clutter there. Always close up too... I wonder why
I'm so very sorry to read your sad news rosie.0 -
Evening Messies.
First of all, so sorry to hear about your dad, Rosie. What a huge shock that must have been, so big hugs to you.
Hello again, Emms. So, the shift work's not easing up, then? I so admire you for the enthusiasm you have for your work. Takes someone really special to deal with it all. I'm glad you made your day off YOUR day. Your brain needs a rest as much as your body does so, if you only want to do shopping, why not? Driving in flip flops? How?!
Jps, I can make our little garden look massive with carefully taken photos! :rotfl:
MM, because I've been away for a while, I didn't know that you've been having work problems. I hope your interview goes really well.
I think snuggling upto a snoring puppy sounds lovely, fuddle. I'm quite.
Have had little time to do any de-messying today. With the horses this morning (as usual) then, because we were out all day yesterday, called in to see Mum when we got back from the yard. Only intended to pop in to check she was ok, but stayed nearly half an hour. Only escaped then by telling her that OH was making me a cup of tea. OH and I had an appointment at the bank after lunch, to open a new account, which took a bit longer than we thought it would. When I got back, I had to take some stuff over to Mum, ended up helping her to move some bits about, and having a cuppa with her. If she tells me once more how she stormed out of work, I shall scream, I'm sure I will :lipsrseal. It all happened about 30 years ago, and there's definitely nothing wrong with her brain, I tell you! Still, she's good for 83.
I'm planning to clean the winter muck from the conservatory tomorrow, but will need OH's help to clean the ceiling blinds. Hope he's got nothing else planned.0 -
So sorry to hear your news, Rosie.
It puts a messy home very much into perspective.
Here, I have achieved nothing, save for TWO trips to the supermarket (because I got home with my bake sale ingredients and found DD had invited people around tomorrow), a long chat with an old acquaintance I met there and an hour's tutoring.
I'm so behind my rather wonderful children have had to decorate 120 (shop bought) cakes for me while I fight with an online application form. The trouble is, I'm getting so discouraged it's hard to work myself up for another rejection. And the formatting of the form is so terrible it's taken me an hour to input my education and employment history. I haven't even started the hard stuff yet. Anyhoo, it's the school bake sale (Take 2) tomorrow-we're close to the £1000 we're trying to raise for Great Ormond Street as a thank you for the care they gave to the child who died at Christmas, and this should be the final push. We hope.
Happy weekend eve, Messies!!import this0 -

Rosie, very sorry about your loss. Hope you are ok.
Looking forward to a week off now, looks like I might have to do some de-messying as the weather is a bit pants.
Happy Friday all!I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Morning Messies. 7000 Messy posts :T - as opposed to 7000 messy posts, though some of them maywell have been, I suppose. :rotfl:
Laurel, it must be so hard to keep trying, and application forms get very tedious, even if they're straightforward. Great stuff with the money raising. And a <HUG> to you.
A friend of mine was made redundant very suddenly and unexpectedly a month ago, and I hadn't realised how many rules and regs there are about getting job allowances. My friend had already arranged two weeks holiday away, and she had to get permission from the job centre (or whatever it's called now) to go! Plus, she's supposed to apply for at least 3 jobs a week. Now, how can she do that when she's away on hols, and can't get hold of a paper?
Off to see the neds now. See you all later.0 -
Not much done at all today messies. I've been up and down to school today for jubilee cake morning and then to take DD back down for fun afternoon. Just sat down and thought 'bother to it, I'm doing nothing!'0
