Mmmm, well todays been an interesting day. We have been talking for ages about moving some furniture about between the kids bedrooms and DS1 wants to have a clear out of some of his stuff. OH has been off work today and launched himself into furniture moving. I have wanted to do this for ages so was pleased in a way but we are now half way through the task and the house looks like a bombsite.
So much for spending ages cleaning up yesterday.
We have also got to get some stuff to the tip tomorrow - that will make things look so much better. I have got a committee meeting for my voluntary job on Wednesday so I MUST get the accounts up to date. Cant be bothered now, but I really need to make some time for that tomorrow.
Actually I could curl up with my book now - but I really should sort the kitchen out, it seems to have descended into chaos again.0 -
Evening All
It's Monday night, therefore it's "soap night" .
So... Do I be productive and iron a pile of stuff while I watch Eastenders and double Corrie, or do I lie back on the sofa and relax. Hmmm I wonder....
Kitty - Well done on all the cleaning
Cat - I know its not a laughing matter but your comment re "brother" made me smirk. :rotfl:Aims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once.

I left the room at the key moment
. I did find it rather weird and frankly dull though. But then again, how visually exciting can you make a man trapped in a canyon for several days? 0 -
What I have done today-fluffed another job interview, I think.
They said they'd ring the successful candidate and write to everybody else (cowards). And it's a bit late now, I think.
Mind you, the school was so rough that I'm managing to contain my devastation.

I'm still here Cat
Felt low for the past few days for no real reason so sort of wanted to cocoon myself in duvet, but been working myself into the ground again so couldn't. I was so sorry to hear about DS' Dad, I really did think he would pull through. Making me think I should make one last attempt to build a relationship with my estranged grandfather. He's getting on a bit; I feel quite bad for him sometimes because I'm the only grandchild from the nine that his first marriage produced that has spoken to him in the last ten years, and none of his four children from his first marriage speak to him.
I've none precisely nothing but the washing up here. PM'ing you Cat, I could do with a fellow sweary on f'book!
Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time0 -

You did well to get to the interview Laurel - I fluffed DWP online test so never even got over that first hurdle.
Buffy - best of luck with Ofsted. My worst nightmare was having to spend 2 hours with one inspector who should have been observing me work but the client didn't turn up for the interview :eek: luckily he was from a rural area so managed to steer chat to state of agriculture etc.... I'm sure you will be fine
just remember ..... even Ofsted inspectors burp and f*rt.... oh and go to the loo....just imagine them after a biriyani.....
Work today, so apart from seeing to the kittens (still have all my fingers) not done a lot indoors. Still onward and upward.....0
