My home is a mess

Popped in to say my thoughts are with Cat and your son.:grouphug:
Been MIA for a while, having decluttered the whole house, including loft and garage, and the tidying and cleaning everywhere was lovely at the start but it needs maintaining:eek: Gosh it's dull all this housework, I've decided I'm going back to being rather messy, at least you couldn't see the flipping dust.

Hi messies, love to one and all. I did a fair bit of housework (for me) yesterday - cleaned the cat tray, hoovered (again just the middle bits), baked a loaf of bread, cooked two chicken portions for the week's lunches and washed two loads of clothes. Oh and fixed the rickety fence YET again, as it was very blustery yesterday.
Today is hospital visit day (Sunday instead of Sat this week), which takes most of the day up so I'm glad I did the other stuff yesterday. I've put the slow cooker on for the week's evening meals (pork loin and red lentils).
Have a good Sunday, all!I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Good day fellow messies (although from the flurry of activity going on some of you are nudging flylady status).
Today my aims are
Get kitchen shelf finished (needed larger wall plugs)
Run to dump with load of stuff
Laundry
DW
Make bread for lunches
Feed snakes
(in addition I also have to move the very stroppy kitten into the new cage I've borrowed so injuries may prevent some of these aims). I think it thinks it's a lion which at 4 months is going some :eek:
Have a good day all...:)0 -

Hi Jacci - congrats on lasting this long. The thing I had pointed out to me when I quit - if you are counting how long you've been doing without you still think of yourself as a smoker who isn't smoking and eventually you'll start again. In order to crack it completely, you need to believe you are a non-smoker. I'm not sure you can completely stop counting coz obviously you'll always know when you had that last cigarette but I think it does help to stop actively thinking about it.
I still get caught out sometimes when I've had a drink and I'm with others who smoke but having gone from a pack a day to a cig every 12-18months, I think its fair to say that its mostly beat!0 -

Sonastin, I agree with what you say about the countdown re smoking, mind you everytime I see my Mum she tells me how long its been and she gave up getting on for 30 yrs ago!!This is the 1st time ever I have stopped and not felt awful at the weekend, before I found it impossible to relax. This weekend has been very relaxing which makes me think maybe it is your mindset, also Im having surgery on 1/2 and I do not want to be a smoker and have a general anaesthetic so that may be helping.Whatever it is Im a very happy bunny!!0
