So sorry to hear your news Cat, and I agree, when DS has come to terms with his loss he will be glad to have had the memories. Very sad.

I would feel really awkward handing things off the cuff to a random ward, is there a central place in a hospital that I could contact?

We have been in tidy mode today and the upstairs is looking great :D

sorry to here the news cat <3<3

    hope everyone is well,

i did some cleaning today :) i finally dismantled the pile of clothes in the livingroom, to be honest i wish i didnt, didnt realise there was so much mess underneath :( ive also done some dishes, still have a few left to do though.
i folded all the clothes in livingroom and put them nicely into storage boxes, ...... place is still shithole though (wonder if it goes through the censor again:) )
got a load in the machine , that needs to go in the tumbly drier .. and need to put new bedding on my bed

at least ive done something, poor ds was in the bath for over an hour and half :D whilst i was folding all the clothes, he came out like a prune that had prunes growing on it :) lol good thing he enjoys long baths

lets hope i can do some more tommorow :)

Cat, so sorry to read your news. I am so glad he had family around him even if it wasn't at the end, but like you said; he probably planned that. I really do feel for your son.

    Take care. xxx
  • Sending you and your DS lots of love Cat, sorry to hear the news.

And that post about hospitals not having things like disposable razors etc - shocking isnt it? How many people know things like that eh?

Ended up at the out of hours docs today with DS2 (the healthy one!) because he has had a really bad pain in his side and couldnt bear anyone to touch it this morning. Worryingly its the same side where he has a kidney problem but we thought that was all sorted out. Turns out he has been getting "twinges" there for a while. By the time we had driven there and back and waited an hour to get seen it kind of meant the rest of the day has been written off. Worth it to get him checked out though, we just have to see how he goes tomorrow.

YL - fingers crossed for your DS

Kitty - you did a lot - well done

I've had a lovely day but none of it involved housework, DH is off now for 6 days so we spent the day together [kids are at their Dads for the day] and yes Frugal, I'm sure I've pulled a muscle somewhere lol hehe

Crikey, I had no idea that basic shaving stuff and hair stuff wasn't available if you were in hospital with no-one to bring stuff for you. Where/who would you give it to at the hospital if you wanted to make a donation?

I've been a fishing widow again today, but have hoovered through downstairs, did a quick wipe round the bathroom and then decided to clean the top of the cooker (urgh!). Still got a bit to do on the top of the cooker but it looks loads better. Then I cooked a big pan of chilli, was yummy and there's enough left to freeze for a couple more meals :j

YL - hope your son is feeling better very soon

Helen - bet you don't get any ironing done this week :rotfl:

Emm - enjoy your w/end with your hubby

hugs to everyone who needs them
