It's amazing how often you hear the story...and they just popped out for a coffee/missed one visit/were talking to the nurse in the corridor...and the loved one died. Too often for it to be a coincidence, I think. People hang on when surrounded by loved ones. I'm glad your OH has come to terms with what happened, YL, and he absolutely shouldn't blame himself.

ive just remembered my friend isnt coming over until monday, so that gives me plenty of time to sort stuff out :cool:

she is great though, shes never mentioned the mess and alway says the place looks nice, bless her..

gonna blast some music tommorow and open all the curtains and windows and get cleaing

hey guys - sorry to say he passed away around 10.35 yesterday evening. They'd stabilized him and told us we should go home but the phone rang just as we pulled up outside my house telling us to go straight back. Sadly, we were too late but I think that was his plan
DS is not ok but not too bad, not really taking it in, just popped my head in the door of his room and he's put his Xmas card from his dad back up Says he's tired and going to sleep. Poor little thing. He always wanted a dad, at least he had one for a few months (

Cat - so sorry to hear your news, especially as things seemed to have turned a corner. My heart goes out to you and your DS at this sad time.
