My home is a mess

You all seem to be doing so well !!
I've not posted for a couple of days but i'm keeping on with the baby steps. I know i'm never going to have a show home but at least (eventually) I can have a home that I can invite people into without having to say "Sorry, I've been too busy doing this, that or the other to have tidied up yet"
Tomorrow = double effort as it's the last day of my two week holiday before I go back to work and that's when the hard work will really start..keeping up with what I have managed to get on top of!

Evening All!
I did my supermarket shop today and came home and cleaned the fridge out, a real proper scrub, :j and three drawers which were getting a bit outrageous in the kitchen. I have a couple of bits of worktop which are becoming a bit cluttered now which I shall have to sort out to get it back to its previous pristine condition, then I am attacking the clutter corner in the lounge. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0 -
Hi all. We seem to be growing in numbers here which is great. Kind of makes me feel better to know I am not the only person with a messy house.
Yesterday and today have been spent in the garden. Hope that counts, it was (and still is in places) very messy too. Have painted the fence around the patio and done lots of general tidying up. Took a car load of stuff out of the shed to the tip - and there is more to go.
Lots more to do in the garden, but it does look a whole lot better. Trying to make hay while the sun shines so tomorrow might be more of the same. Keep thinking that this nice weather cant last so I should get as much outside stuff done while I can.0 -
I've been letting the side down, my mess is worse not better... uni weekend...
But anyways. can I hear a "Woohoo" from everyone please!
WOOHOO!!Can we pretend that aeroplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars, cause I could really use a wish right now...0 -
Kt dont worry about it Im sure you will catch up. Thanks for the woohoo, lol.
Iv just mopped dog pee up in the kitchen grrr. Im going to put his belly band on Monday and take it off only when he asks to go out. It better work as Im sick of standing in pee. Strange thing is my feet are really soft, i wounder if its something in his pee.
Sun will be shining Monday according to the weather report. Ill try to get my washing line put up and hang out the washing.0 -
Good luck with the belly band Snookey - I know that damp foot feeling, it took 2 years to get my ex stray house trained (she'd never lived in a house and I got her when she was at least 2 so not her fault poor girl).
Lousy nights sleep due to health problem meant I'd no energy and my get up and go had gone somewhere else (sounds like some messies may have benefitted as everyone seems to be moving forward).
Did a quick tidy round in the kitchen, sorted out a few more of the DIY bits and made bread, flatbread and cottage pie.
Have discovered the joys of box files, as my untidy pile of filing is now tidily in a box file labelled 'filing'. Amazing what a difference small things can make. Just wish my family would join in - oh well!0 -
Morning Messys - Up since 6 (why cant I sleep!!!) so I have done the bathroom, sorted all the washing that was done yesterday, will get some shopping done later and then freshen the beds up. Another glorious day in the west of Scotland.
Back at work tomorrow so want to leave the house in as little chaos as possible. It is looking scruffy around the edges and being clean and tidy makes it look a lot more presentable.
Go go Messys!!0 -

The weather here is too good!! I'm getting all my washing dried outside but dumping it on the table in the kitchen!! It's good today again so might get some outside jobs done after work. If only I was as meticulous about my work (cleaner) as I am about my home! Must remember, baby steps, baby steps.....0

Morning Hart and Icelandic Queen - have a productive day - even if it is just one or two jobs it is worth celebrating.0
