Was feeling happy with what I had got done this morning, another load of washing out, ironing done, tidied up, packed and ready for the fair and then the cat up-chucked on some clothes (eeew!) so had to throw another load into the washing machine. It isn't really a full load so a bit annoying but wanted to get them washed straight away! It isn't even our cat, he just adopted us and wanders in and out as he pleases!

I'm really sorry, tenmah, as gross as that story made me feel, it also made me :rotfl:

Tenmah - that reminds me of the time that one of the cats caught and mangled a bird and brought it in and left it on my clean white bed!!! Animals - dont ya love them!!
I am on my third washing now - very pleased as it is a blowy day.

    Hello

Just to say I've been reading from the beginning last weekend and it has really motivated me to get on and sort my flat out, I'd been procrastinating for too long and it had got to the stage that I didn't know where to start.

Last weekend with the glorious weather I was out in the garden. I did sort out a whole load of clothes that didn't fit or were tatty and they got taken to the tip / charity shop (infact last weekend I went 3 times to the tip with a car load :o) I sorted out my outhouse (and got rid of the spiders and cobwebs, set up my old greenhouse staging and now have somewhere to stack my xmas decs - winter boots and coats (in a vacum bag). I also dug out some tree roots that had been bugging me for 4 years and have another 6ft sq piece to have as patio (just need to get the stuff to finish it!)

This weekend I've not been as productive (hence I'm posting ) Friday I was at a friends watching the wedding, came back yesterday (I did do a load of washing), today I have a severe dose of cantbearsedness although I have done a load of washing and some handwashing and that's out blowing on the line. I have guests coming in 10 days and have cleaned the carpet in the hallway (was looking distinctly grubby after the winter) and noticed that the walls looked a bit grubby (I have a cat that sneezes and all surfaces about a foot from the floor get a covering ) so I've been round and wiped most of the walls and doors in the hallway (the water was fithy :o) lunch is in the oven and I'm trying to build up the momentum to embark on something else after (well I need to hoover the carpet to get the cleaning stuff out) and then move into the lounge and start that .......

Anyway sorry for the long post - but it's given me a sense of achievement to see it all written down, hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend

Sounds like you have had a very productive weekend to me - and last week sounds like overachieving!!!!
I have done 4 washings now - no line space or I would do more!
There is a farmers market on locally so might grab OH and have a wander.

    Still havent done the cupbaord!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I am on the second lot of washing, with a stew simmering away.

And done some charity paperwork I've been putting off.

I even.......................shhhhhhhh.................did a run. Now before you all go thinking "fitness freak" I hasten to add that I am on very baby steps running wise, 60 sec run/jog/ok move faster than a walk then 90 secs walk/get breath back x 8. I have lost a lot of weight over the past 2 years and am now trying to actually get fit. I wont be saying anything at work as some are jealous of what I have achieved and make comments like "you must be soooooooooo fit I certainly wouldnt go walking/whatever cos you'd show me up". Which I must say does hurt me a lot as I am no athlete! and would never ever show anyone up but people eh!

So I'd like to share my achievements with you lovely people as baby steps apply to everything not just housework.

    1 step closer xxxxxxxx
If you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T
    I'm not short - I'm condensed awesome! :p

Evening all...hope your all having a great BH weekend :)

Well i was meant to have no kids this weekend (they go to their dads at a weekend) but my eldist (8) didnt want to go so he stayed home with me. I dont get to spend much time one to one with him so everything i did have planned to do round the house well it just didnt get done. But ive had a great weekend with my lad so i really dont care :) We went to the museum, the cinema, for ice cream then to the park on the way home yesterday, then today before his sisters came home we went to a car boot this morning (never again he skinted me lol) then played with his new toys this afternoon :)

I do however feel guilty at not getting anything done now lol, i was planning on sorting the girls bedroom out and sorting through their clothes for charity shop and just generally getting it ready for decorating. Its so much easier when there not here lol. So now even tho the kids are out playing, im just sat down watching rubbish tv....i do feel absolutly shattered after 4 hours at the car book/market this morning tho lol. but i think i really should at least go take the piles of clothes out my kitchen upstairs and put them away....then soak in the bath and do the rest tomorrow lol

I also really really need to cut my dress tomorrow too, the kids are starting to get lost in it!

Hi ladies mind if i join you.I've been lurking for a while but only just got up the courage to delurk but you all seem so nice i thought i'd step out of the shadows.

I'm full of good intentions but never seem to actually get anything done. I moved to this house 2 years ago and it's like a tip already i really need to clean and decorate . I have a oh 2 19 year old sons and a 5 year old grandaughter living here too.
Don't know if it's just me but when i plan to do anything everyone chooses that day to pop in so i get nothing done. I think i'm just too lazy too and my lot are deffo very messy. After reading through from the beginning i'm wondering if taking pics might give me extra motivation although i wouldn't show them to anyone else. It's more just general dumping and untidyness but it bugs me.
