Rummer - I have no idea as the school haven't told me anything about it!! She had to participate in the activities that they done today and the lesson is held once a week and she has to go every week, she is missing a maths lesson to do this and maths is her weakest subject. I think she could be in either role - but not sure. It wouldn't surprise me if she was a participant IF I have the correct assumption of what it is about. But surely the school should of informed me about it if she is a participant - this is all assuming that I have the correct impression of what the lesson is for.

  • Helen - seems unfair that they're depriving her of time in her weakest subject, is there anyone you could speak to to get a clearer idea of what is is and why?

In either role you should be informed that your daughter has been invited to attend, I would drop a wee note to the teacher or speak to them direct. Better to get all the facts.

Thanks Rummer and MM - I've decided to phone the school tomorrow and invite them to give me some feedback. I have always thought that DD has issues and she is definately immature for her age and I'll be glad if she has some support but all I want is to be informed and included.

On a random note, I find Lidl is good for chorizo.

  • Finally - we have a dining room again :rotfl:

Just the ironing to clear then it's back to normal. Now if only I could persuade my hubby and children not to dump everything in it.....

Anyway, I've also managed to convince dh to sort out the first of many of his drawers/cupboard and he has a huge bag of clothes ready to take down the charity shop :T

My next challenge is to fill a box with bits for the car booty, I won't be doing it for a couple of months due to impending op next week but really need to make a start plus I need to keep busy or I'll only be worrying about it :p.

After all my hard work I'm just hoping that dh keeps the house tidy whilst I'm out of action as I'm not going to be able to lift anything for a couple of weeks.

  • Another long work day and an earlyish start tomorrow so will get off to bed soon. Still moving the mess around (had to make way for work lappy and portable printer on desk tonight so piles now moved to armchair).

DD did take the old computer monitor to tip so that's another bit of mess gone :T

Best of luck with the interview messymare.

Hello everyone. Iv done the kitchen, made the tea and put a wash on.

The people who have the dog are going to come up one night this week to meet and bring the pooch. I feel this is the right thing to do as the dog has been in two homes now due to the owners working hours. It must be hard for them as I could not imagine having to rehome my animals.
Helen Im sure things will be more clear for you when you have spoken to the school. Dd had to attend a class due to poor attendance last year. I was really upset as she had been really ill that year and we had kept the school updated by phone and in person. In the end I rang the school and it was explained that all schools have to show that they are being proactive on attendance issues. Its horrible when the communication with parents and school becomes strained.
Im going out tomorrow as I can feel the black cloud of depression starting to desend and I need a change from the four walls.
