Good luck MessyMare! Fingers crossed for you.

I'm just quickly skimming and running during the week again as early starts, work and a longish commute wear me out totally. Roll on half term!

Reaping the benefit of batch cooking at the weekend now - it's great to come home and have dinner ready in 20 minutes. I got some lovely fine green beans reduced from £1.55 (who buys them at THAT price?!) to 40p yesterday afternoon in the Co-op, best whoopsie for ages, and had those with the pea and ham stew, it was gorgeous.

Hope everyone is doing well, or at least ok.

    Good luck, messymare!

Well, obviously coming onto this thread last week is having some positive effect. I started recovering a stool seat for my mum weeks ago, and it's been sitting there waiting for me to finish it, but it was another 'tomorrow'. Finally finished it today! :) Also mended multiple little holes in my jods - another job that's been waiting for me to get around to it.

Next jobs are to tidy up the drawer under the bed that has wrapping paper in it, plus get around to organising all my family history documents and photos.

    I'm being nosy - what's that?? :)

Pudsey its a free learn to program on the computer course linky. It was on the BBC news site the other day. You can sign up there and they send out an email with the link to the first lesson. I think it's one lesson a week (took a couple of hours). So far, so good (but I have done programming before although about 10 years ago at uni, so I do understand the concepts)

Well..done a fair amount of housework...but just had a call to say I've got a job interview :) very locally, with a jeweller's which I've done before. Not getting my hopes too high but I feel I've got a pretty good shot as it hasn't been widely advertised. They were asking for two year's experience in this area but I'm guessing not many people around here would actually have that. Going to either be on Thursday or Friday, so wish me luck!

MessyMare good luck with the interview, let us know how you get on

Yes, about 9 years here. Miraculously coincides with the birth of my first child!

Thank you everyone :) Though now I'm stressing about what to say about the dismissal if they ask...old place did say they'd be happy to give me a reference but truly don't know what to say!

Anyway, need to blitz the house just in case I think, make it as easy to keep clean as possible for if I do go back to having a full time job!
