It is an old song but Michael Bubele has released a version on his xmas album.
Getting lots of tests done but still feeling rubbish in the interim.
Anyway, just have to keep my chin up and get on with thingsTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Ev'rywhere you go;
Take a look in the five and ten glistening once again
With candy canes and silver lanes aglow.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Toys in ev'ry store
But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be
On your own front door.
A pair of hopalong boots and a pistol that shoots
Is the wish of Barney and Ben;
Dolls that will talk and will go for a walk
Is the hope of Janice and Jen;
And Mom and Dad can hardly wait for school to start again.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Ev'rywhere you go;
There's a tree in the Grand Hotel, one in the park as well,
The sturdy kind that doesn't mind the snow.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas;
Soon the bells will start,
And the thing that will make them ring is the carol that you sing
Right within your heart.
The version I know is by Johnny Mathis:-) HTHNothing in it, nothing in it but a ribbon round it .....0 -

I just need to be able to hear it once and then I'll be able to move on - got that 1 line going over and over in my little brain and I'm so sick of it!!
Johnny Mathis by the looks of things...

Bit about me then, I was born to be a housewife, I adore all homely pursuits including crafting, crochet, gardening, baking, cooking, DIY and could happily lose myself in a book for hours.
Reality however means that I work full time, all be it in a job I love, and I fit as many of my pleasures in as possible. My family and friends are so important to me tooTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Here's some stuff about me... late 40's, happy singleton with no children, love my job - I finally found something I love to do - it pays a pittance, but that's nothing new to me!
I love walking but being almost spherical I'm not the best shape for it (must work on that a bit more), gardening - particularly wildlife gardening because then I can allow the garden to become a tangled mess and still be proud of it, and my cat.
Until very recently I wasted money terribly but since discovering MSE I've reduced my (relatively small) overdraft by £200 and am doing much better at less wasteful cooking, eating and grocery shopping.
Oh yes, and I am an incorrigible MESSIE!
Brrrrr it's getting very chilly here tonight too.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

OMG you're all fantastic - I've just sung it out loud - now I'll be able to move on lol THANK YOU
Rummer - I love being a housewife [a rather lazy one] I have to work the odd shift at DH's work to cover illness etc but I'm happy to do the odd day here and there, in fact as DH is poorly, he's now got a raging temp and is in bed it looks like I'm covering his shift in the morning
I hate cooking with a passion so DH does it as he loves cooking and I do everything else, even DIY if its something I can do

JPS - well done on the job front, I used to work in a job that paid me £20k and that was 12 years ago but gave it up when DD came as she wouldn't take a bottle in the Nursery she was at - just screamed the whole time - anyway, I thought I would be not be able to cope with being a SAHM but I wasn't in a job that I loved which I'm now glad of. Its quite rare for someone to love their job so well done

Of course I'm still paying off the debts that being well paid meant I had [how stupid of me to think life wouldn't change] How stupid of me to get into debt when I was so well paid!! No excuses for it just plain old stupidity and greed - lessons learnt though and we are so MSE and OS we embarrass my Mum big time - which I love!!Projects made for craft fair - 40
