I've given in and copied a basic Flylady list to help me get back into some kind of system! I can't keep up with all the mess but I'm not leaving here as I love coming on here and knowing that I'm not alone with the mess.

    See you all tomorrow

  • Don't you go defecting on us now Helen Jelly ;)

Thinking of you today Frugal, hope you're doing okay *hug*

So in opposition to my messy personality, the living room is staying tidy (and I finally picked us up a coffee table - £7.29!), bathroom is still glistening, kitchen is okay (apart from the fact that I knocked a broken salt mill over, and now I'm fishing rock salt out of every crevice :rotfl:), and bedroom is passible. Just got to stay on top of all of them, get the laundry pile down, and sort out the insurmountable spare room before Mum visits next week )
In a better financial position than ever before (thank you MSE!). Moved back to Scotland and now trying to keep debt-free!

Thinking of you Frugal and sending good vibes your way.

Well not a lot of progress for me for a few days as i can't seem to get rid of visitors . They seem to think we're a cross between a nursery, taxi service and a hotel.lol and that's not counting the cafe they think i'm running.

Oh well hopefully progress will resume tomorrow . Though my grandson is staying over tomorrow night i have another one booked in for saturday while his parents go to a wedding. One son to collect from work at 3 and return him and grandson who's here now home then 2 sons to collect from sheffield between six and seven. Oh well it's better than doing the laundry.

Just wanted to say that I always love your posts. Sounds like a home filled with love and lots of happy people, if a little mad and hectic! Not sure how you fit anything in with all the people coming and going, no wonder you're a messy ;)

Not posted for a week or so as have been quite busy with our new puppy. I must admit I'd forgotten exactly how time consuming they are! and needless to say the housework has taken a back foot. (aparts from the now necessary mop ups!!!:eek:)

I think I must be a little mad as I've suddenly had the urge also to decorate DS bedroom. He is at the Inlaws this week so I have been stripping his baby wallpaper (he is nearly 8!) in preperation of painting the walls. I am on holiday next week so hope to have it all done by this time next week. I will have a few days break when we go to collect DS fom the Inlaws this weekend.

The idea of jumping ship to Flylady really sends shivers down my spine! _pale_

I looked at the flylady thread and nearly passed out.:eek: even having twins wasn't as scary as that.

Well i'm going to have a go at doing the living room today. just tidying then a good declutter later.

My oh shocked me yesterday , i was in the kitchen cooking and overheard him talking to my dil and he was telling her it's his and the twins fault our house is so messy . He said him and the twins have let me down badly. He said for over 25 years when all the kids were little the house was spotless and since i became ill they didn't do half as much as they could so they are all trying to make more effort . Didn't think he'd even noticed . :T

  • Oh craftygranny, do i sniff a rota on the horizon?

My house is ok at the moment, but DD2 landed back from holliday with 2 weeks of smelly washing. Its currently residing in, and adding scent to, the hall.

    Uck.
Im at work, and in my defence I have done 8 loads of washing this week...
    Trying to shift that debt!

    Hello
Im back! all well and with beautiful son who was born at 2.30am on the 7/8/11. Not the easiest birth after induction, cord around his neck and midwives broke placenta but he was worth all the trouble. All messy duties have been passed to OH who has done dishes laundry and lunch!
