Sorry for the rant yesterday. Hubbie came back in time for kids to see him for a couple of hours before bed. I'm feeling better today.

Had a nice morning if a little emotional. DD had a little leavers morning at her preschool - she starts school in September.

We were in a mad rush this morning as I was so tired I put the kids in front of the telly in our bedroom and kept telling them I was just having 5 more mins snoozing - got out of bed at 7.40am in the end so did cut it a little fine to say the least! Ended up rushing straight out so DW needs emptying from last night, breakfast and lunch bits need washing, washing needs hanging out, washing upstairs to put away, ironing to be done, and need to get a casserole cooked for tonight. That should keep me out of trouble !

I have a meeting this evening so need to get the house straightened up and kids to bed by half seven. DH will only just be home in time for me to go out so I will eat early with the kids.

Have one more load of washing to get done too then at least that'll be up to date again.

Have managed to get 3 ebay parcels to post office this morning so at least thats a few less to tidy up!

Off to get son down for his nap now then must spend a few minutes playing with DD as I've been promising to show her how one of her new bday games works, since yesterday so feeling a bit guilty !

    Afternoon Everyone

Well I had a lovely birthday weekend which was topped off my going to see our new puppy yesterday. He's absolutetly gorgeouse & we just cant wait to bring him home in about 4 weeks.

I have some major catching up to do with housework this week and really must drag the hoover out of its hiding place. I'm regretting not putting a load of washing on this morning too as its really nice and sunny out. Ah well fingers crossed for no rain tomorrow.

Bathroom done - I gave myself 30mins to change the storage layout of towels in there and to clean it - managed it in 26mins

Landing next - there are some kids toys no longer used and 2 step ladders there that I want to move to the garage

I find that if I give myself a realistic time target to get a job done [a smallish job] I then race myself to get it done before the alarm on my phone goes off - eeh the things we do to motivate ourselves lol

muffin man 7 - thank you, the only cotton I'm getting is changing the sheets on the beds hehe

Helen, I like your idea of giving yourself set periods of time to acheive tasks - I've done that before, and it's amazing what you can achieve in 30 minutes if you really blitz at it:j

    Afternoon everyone :D

I didn't get any cleaning done today :o 2 loads of washing went on the line and is now dry and folded in the basket :D

My DS, the little monster, told me this morning he needs his play outfit for tomorrow  he is Sherlock Holmes, so I had to dash to the CS and run up a coat with cape (mans shirt with some fabric I had) and I covered his baseball cap with same fabric and made a rough looking dearstalker :o it will have to do :( good job its not a big show only the little local village school end of yr production :rotfl:

Off to work again in a bit :(

I love the idea of trying to beat time to do little cleaning jobs :T

Wow, looks like you have all been busy today. I have just got in from work but don't want to lose the momentum from yesterday. My aim is to wash up the dinner things, put away the laundry that has dried and change my bedding/put it in the wash - all before Eastenders starts at 8pm. Hopefully doing a little bit on weekday evenings will save me my weekends of despair! Wish me luck!
