My home is a mess

Glad to hear the counselling went well dibuzz.
I did bring quite a few items into the house this morning but they have a home already so I'm not creating any mess.0 -
I went to the knitting group meeting this morning. I was still really nervous till I got there but it was ok so I've been out of the house 2 mornings running now, almost unheard of
It's another miserable day here so can't put any washing out unless I want to keep running out and bringing it in every time it rains.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
I couldn't find this thread for a few days!
Very glad your counselling went well, dibuzz, and I'm sure the knitting group will prove fun.
I've been concentrating on being very tidy for the last few days. No time to do any actual cleaning, although I have washed and ironed.
Had to follow OH to a garage where he took DD's car for a repair. That damn A55 again! But I did it!Member #14 of SKI-ers club

There were only 3 of us again so that was better for me. We don't actually do any knitting there although one woman was crocheting this morning as we drank coffee. I wouldn't have the confidence to knit or crochet in public
It's mainly to sort out our items for various charities but it's nice to have someone to talk to with similar interests.
I've just sorted out all the recycling and bins for tomorrow, thinking about hoovering the stairs but thinking might be as far as I get14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
Hi Messies!
Nothing major to report on the de-messifying front today - like Pollypenny I have at least maintained the tidy bits though, and that`s half the battle I reckon!
I did make another start in DGD`s room, and managed to fill a sack (birdfood) with her cuddlies that were mostly stashed behind my sewing machine. I`m hoping when she`s here at the weekend she`ll decide at least half of them can be donated. I`ve also gathered loads of pencils/colouring stuff and cut a fancy gift-bottle holder in half, made 2 nice tubs to put them in, but again they need sorting first.
Then DS came in and decided we should move the furniture around - but this will mean clearing under the bed, plus I want to see what DGD thinks first!
SO, it all ground to a halt...I could have carried on pottering in there a bit, but DS is sitting on the bed now playing one of her computer games, and I`d be tripping over his feet & getting naggy, so I have left him to it!0 -
OH and I have done a massive filing exercise this afternoon. It took ages, words were exchanged but we got there! There is now room on the book case for another three books!
It's a pain having to be a 'rate tart' as Martin calls it, moving savings around to get just 1% extra now. It generates do much paper, but it has to be done.Member #14 of SKI-ers club

I'm supposed to be resting today so all I've done is:
1load of washing finished and another about to go in
Towel dried and folded
3dozen hobnobs cooked and cooled
2 dozen mini choc chip muffins cooked and cooled
4 banana bread in oven
Dishwasher been filled and put on
It's now finished and ready for emptying and refilling
I'm just sat on sofa resting
Will go and check banana bread in a mo and then sort dishwasher.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Hi everyone
Thanks for the healing vibes. Had a day or two feeling yucky but it hasnt really come to anything and I struggled on at work. I am on my own in the office for a couple of weeks so being ill wasnt an option. Feel fine now.
Dibuzz, all sounds really positive, well done.
Tattycath, banana bread, mmmmm, my lot dont like it though, they are all a bit odd.
Been a busy week as ever, fed up with people asking me if I am off with the kids over Easter. I get 4 and a bit weeks holiday, the kids are off for 12 weeks a year so some holidays I have to work. Am I the only parent that does this????
This will be the first school holiday when the kids will be left home alone. Hubby goes to work about 10.30 and I get home at 1.30 so it should be fine, they are old enough to cope (I hope).
Right, off to tidy the kitchen, put some washing away and do a few jobs.0 -
I'm sure the kids will be fine, 3 hours isn't long. As long as they aren't hungry they probably won't even notice you aren't there14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140
