I am feeling extremely unmotivated to do any housework today. I have brought home a ton of work to do and have been working on it nonstop today although I am just about finished. Then I need to get my CV dusted off and updated since my current work is cutting my hours soon which is going to make it pretty difficult to actually earn a living. Urrrgh so demotivated. O and on top of that I am fighting with a debt collection company who keeps sending threatening letters looking for someone who owes money BUT that person doesn't live at this address but I can't seem to convince the debt company of that and this is just going on and on causing so much stress. O well.
Hope you are all doing ok!

I had the same problem getting letters like that for someone else so i posted em back unopened with not at this address all over them then after 3 months i just binned em. Then they started calling me daily sometimes several times a day and i kept repeating that that person didn't live here and to remove my address and phone number from their records. They said they couldn't do that unless i let them speak to the person they were looking for so i repeated they didn't live here and i had no details for them . After 4 weeks i reported them to the police for harrassment. No calls or letters since. lol.

I've not done much today my knees are so stiff i can hardly walk. I did help my grandaughter tidy all her toys and relabel all the boxes so that's something.

Right - said Rats dealt with - unfortunately it means that they will die in the walls of the house, but no more can get in as there is a grill over the vent now [poison inside the hole]. If they die near the vent then DH can undo the grill and hoick them out!!

Hi everyone and well done for keeping motivated. Iv sorted the washing out into a basket for each person. Makes a change not to see a mountain of washing on the side. Son has brought down all his clothing by the looks of it to be washed. Nearly through the mountain, lol.
Had my family here over the weekend so a bit hit and miss with the housework although I did the floors and dishes.
Monday will be a stay in day to get things done.
Rats here is a little story, I saw our cat parading up and down the street last summer with a rat in its mouth. The rat was screaming and as I dont like animals in pain I tried to get the cat to realease the poor thing/ I ended up bit ,on my finger, blood everywhere.
Off to the walk in center where they all crowded around as they had not seen a rat bite before. Doctor gave me antibiotics.

    I know Im daft !.

    Well done GreyQueen :T :D
Talk of these local/regional sayings, my mum found a tea-towel with all the Norfolk sayings on and we had fun going through them :D
There was one I had not heard of even though my mum is a Norfolk lady so she had to explain it to me.
When we moved to Norfolk I was 14 and hated the sayings (Im a Beds girl) and refused to talk like the locals but now Im older I love it :D I think we should keep all our quaint sayings :D

I'm a Norfolk girl and I hate the Norfolk sayings! Don't live there any more (left 10 years ago) and I tell people I'm posh Norfolk rather than tractor Norfolk if they say I don't sound like a farmer!

Lots of people expect people from Liverpool to sound like Harry Endfeilds creations , the two scousers. Most of my family have a mild Liverpool accent and the older generation have none. Of course you do get pockets of areas that have a thick nasal accent and they are usually the rough scally.

    Morning Messies,
Yesterday saw the living room tidied and hoovered, the dishes done in the kitchen, 3 washings done and put away. Today needs to focus on getting the bathroom gutted and getting the kitchen properly clean.
I hope that you are all getting your wee bits done but not forgetting that this is the weekend - the time to unwind and relax.

:) A timely reminder, BB, Feel like my weekends are so manic that it's a relief to get back to the office. And if you start thinking Monday morning in a call-centre is a relief, then life is a bit tragic......:rotfl:

:o So NOT looking forward to this morning. I'll be resigning publicly, in a meeting, from a committee I chair because of the utter utter bl00dy-mindedness of some of the people involved. Don't want to get into details as too much of a RW identifier, but it's made my life a misery for the past few years and I came to a decision last night; I'm outta there. Tell ya, this so-called Big Society will have to function without my input, at least I'll never join another committeee as long as I live, tho may look at some different kind of voluntary work. Grrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!

:) Spent yesterday doing various things which needed doing, inc getting the grub in and turning a whole load of carrots into dics of frozen carrots (cheap cheap but I couldn't have eaten them before they went off so into the freezer with them). Was doing a dummy run for a trip next month, trying on stuff to make sure I still fitted into it and then seeing if it could fit into the bag I intended. Result is that the flat was and still is a complete pigsty with stuff all over.

:) I walked into the kitchen last night and my heart sunk; stuff everywhere and looked awful. It was about 10 pm but I decided it would be even more wretched the following day so washed and put away most of it and.....and......SHINED MY SINK!!!!!!! I have read the original Flylady book and it actually worked. Went in there this morning and smiled at it. Kitchen a long way from clutter-free but, with an empty and shiny sink, I felt a degree of calmness and control.

;) Cooker top is still clean and life will only get better once I've dejunked my committee I'll have soooo much more time.

:) Oh, and a I gave my hairdryer away yesterday, one more unused wotsit off the premises.

:D Go, Messies, go! Hope everyone has a fantastic day and gets some rest as well as some chores and I'll read up on your doings later if I have time.

    Good morning everyone :D

I moved to Norfolk from Bedfordshire when I was 14 to the edge of the Fens so everyone sounded like yokles :rotfl: I was not going to sound like them :rotfl: I still find it funny as my sister has more of an accent (she was a baby when we moved).

I didn't get anything done yesterday as my DS2 and DIL brought the 2 DGD's over :D I had fun helping DGD1 with sticking and now my table is covered in glitter glue and sequins. My kitchen sink is full of washing up (OH will have to sort that today :D)
I realy must try and clean my keyboard, blooming thing, half the letters stick :rotfl:
Hope you all have a lovely Sunday :D
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)
