I live in Maidstone - the trains from Maidstone East only go to Victoria (but you can change to get to Thameslink / Blackfriars etc) and they've just started running the high speed ones from Maidstone West apparently - although I don't know anyone who wants to commute via St Pancras...0

I am surprised no one has mentioned the fact Thamesmead is over the river from London City Airport!
Close to the river but being directly under the flight path may not suit everyone...0 -
I think that's because the flightpath is the least of the local issues.........much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

I am too new to post links if you just copy and paste to google to read the article by the BBC
You can't post links even though you've posted more times than I have, yet I can, strange that. http://www.google.co.uk0 -
Sittingbourne has good transport links 6 trains an hour to London 2 of them being high speed. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-34654214.html0

Sittingbourne is OK, but not really the kind of place you go to buy a flat.

As the discussion is properties under £100,000, then I would be looking to buy a freehold house.Been away for a while.0
