Morning all
Beautiful day here tooalthough a tad windy. After I eat breakfast I'm gonna sit on balcony and read in the sun
It's a bit sheltered there.
Plans for the day include popping to library, late lunch with girls and spot of shopping, visit my nan and probably a food shop. I haven't done proper food shop for weeks so am now low on lots, but just don't have the energy/inclination to battle Mr T! Should probably do some uni work too at some point.
OS wise - Not muchquick hoover and wipe kitchen surfaces over are all that need doing.
Have a good day all

Morning everyone.
Beautiful here although the kids have yet to go out in the garden today. During the week they're out there just after 8am but today nope want to stay in and draw and play with playdoh!
Feel under a cloud last couple of days. Not helped this morning by me dropping an open bottle of green nail polish all over our bedroom carpet :mad: it needed replacing but !!!!!! why does everything in this house end up looking shabby and a lot less chic :mad:
I feel a Righmove fix coming onI love this house and the area but am sick and tired of trying to keep it reasonably clean and tidy. H wanted carpet tiles in the kitchen, they are now stained with dirt from the garden courtsey of kids (this is despite me putting down a sheet for them to stand and take shoes off on). Just don't have the energy or fight for the upkeep of all this anymore.
Sorry about moaning
jackieg and Lou - it must be in the air as I am MRS Grumpy today. Perhaps I should keep company with your husbands today as we seem to be in the right frame of minds for each other

Morning
It's a bit cloudy but I think the sun is going to burst thorugh the clouds very soon.
OH is away to work early, again. Cant complain really but since Wednesday he has done an additional 15hours work. His OT goes straight into the savings and it's for our summer holidays.
I've a washing on the line and about to put another load on.
I've also started a diary to get myself sorted as I need something even if it's just somewhere to download and frustrations I have.
Dinner is from the freezer. I have chicken thighs defrosting and I then pop them in the SC. I make a sort of sticky sauce for it. I get a cup and add brown sugar, garlic, ginger and soy sauce and I coat the thighs in it, kids love it.
Trying for a NSD today, thankfully kids have a £1 each to spend so IF they go on about going to the sweetie shop they can spend this.
Have a lovely day all.Feb 2012 Grocery Challenge £200/£4.00

Morning All
Just a quickie from the 'van down near the edge of the M25, gorgeous weather, and a good Camping & Caravan Club Site, if any of your campers or caravanners want to get down to London. Saw DS & GF Thursday and last night after work, and went shopping for them at Argos, they needed a clothes airer, a small TV unit and a DVD rack. The 19" TV was stook on the top of a plastic box with a cardboard box on top!which DH put together for them (DS is useless GF is much better).
Today's list is a small hammer, a sieve and a potato masher - £land here we come there is one at Waltham Cross. DH has ooodles of tools so is gong to put him a mini tool kit together, we did bring him some screwdrivers, so the £land hammer will do until then. DS is on a course today for a charity he has offered to volunteer for, so will catch up with him later, he has asked to stay on until Monday so we have all day tomorrow with them. Will be a litle manic - as we are out again on Thursday for 3 weeks!!:D
Tigerfeet you do not need a Disco to pull at Trailer Tent, any reasonable sized car, preferable Diesel will do the job. You may need a Disco if you are pulling a twin axle caravan!
Bitsy - You need to put a claim on your house insurance as the spill was an accident. Due to wear they may not give you full value, but will be something towards it, depending on first amount you have to pay.
Right take care all - have fun in this glorious weather. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club

Hello all!
Glad to see loads of you have such gorgeous weather, Same here!
Really lookig forward to going to my colleauges house for first BBQ of the year this afternoon, been bit down lately and there's nothing that makes me feel happier than sitting in the sun with an ice cold cider.
Got some washing on, so that'll go out on the line when it's done and then I'll pop another load of sheets and towels on to stick on the line too. It's so nice to be able to get them outside instead of draped over the doorways etc in my flat and taking ages to dry and looking a mess.
Got some bread dough rising so that should be ready to go into the oven in a bit, haven't bought a loaf of bread since I started making my own a few months ago, and can't imagine ever enjoying shop bread again now!
Was going to do my high impact aerobics DVD as I've put on a pound or two in the past few weeks and would like it to to come off, but since it's so nice and I've been cooped up in work all week I shall go for a nice walk in the sun instead. :-)
The cats been out all morning, not seen him since about 5am. He loves this weather it seems, hardly seen him this past week, except when he pops home to scoff his food down. Lol.
Hope everybody has a lovely weekend in the sun, be it OS or in my case, not so OS0 -
Donny-gal I know you don't need a Disco to pull a trailer tent
It has been DH dream to own a Landy and he thought he would live it. We do need a minimum 1.8 and be either a people carrier (my preference with 3 kids and assorted friends and being able to take grandparents and great parents out with us and the space needed for when we do go on holiday as I do not travel light
) or an estate car like the Mondeo.
Where are you camping?BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Hi everyone,
Bitsy, I'm sorry you're feeling down. It's so hard to keep the house looking nice when the children are little, I was never able to manage it.
Am I the only one who can't stand Lush? The smeel as you go pat the shop nearly knocks me out and makes me feel ill, I can't imagine ever going in one.
Feeling a bit pants today again, since I finihed work my body seems to have become one big ache, hopefully it will settle down soon. I want to do a bit of cooking to use up the aubergine, courgettes, cauli and beoccoli in the fridge before it goes manky.0 -
Tigerfeet it makes me laugh how much time you spend under beds:rotfl::rotfl:
Bitsy There must be something in the air. My hungover grouchy 21 yr old has just knocked a full tub of pouring cream all over the kitchen floor( a big one) have you ever tried to mop up cream off cushionfloor what a nightmare.
Will have to go and get another as I need it to serve with the chocolate cake that's in the oven as we speak.
Thai curry also made. Different but nice I think, just need to add some basil leaves and fresh lime before I serve:D
Have had a bet on Oscar Time as it's my beautiful grandsons name, only a pound, last of the big spenders:rotfl:
Edited to add I don't like Lush either Snoozer it's too strong and brings me out in a rashStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Quick check in as you guys and girls keep me on my toes. This morning have planted leeks, tomatoes, runner beans, sprouts, pumpkins, butternut squash and courgettes as well as all my flower seeds. Have finished off the lining for the boys play area, mowed the grass, dug over my new raised veggie bed, planted up my hanging baskets (which OH says he'll hang for me tomorrow), done two loads of washing - 3rd in as I type.
Now I have the boys on my own all afternoon as OH has a few hours work. So I've pushed them outside (have just confiscated their wooden hammers which the eldest was throwing through the air!) and will shortly get on with sorting out the ironing and non ironing. Will have to be spag bol for tea as I didn't get anything out this morning when I was on my kitchen cleaning run. Need to try and get the ingrained dirt out of my hands. Got to go and sort out world war 5 over a bike!Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0
