    Hi all

Gosh, what a mix of emotions on today's thread! Nelski's confusion with dates had me laughing, but then I was very sad to read of gingin's news.

Been busy at work today, website I'm working on has lots of mentions in the press, it hasn't fallen over yet! :D Wish I could give the url....but I know it's not allowed. What if I tell you it is for the BBC, and it is called No Home. Recon you can find it?

I've been inspired on the 'food on the go' thread. Going to revisit some suggestions and look at what I can prepare for my trip tomorrow.

Off to see Spamalot at the theatre tonight, ooh I feel like I'm BRzl with my trip in London town!

    Good afternoon everyone,

gingin - ((HUGS)) re your sad news, i hope all will be ok.

mushypeas - ive found your website, its very good!!!! I couldnt do anything like that!!! Is this what you do normally for a job?

pennineman - i love your big cat, i would love a cat, but keep putting it off (want to make sure i can give any pet the time/attention/money it needs)

Well, i have done NOTHING all day!!!! (apart from clean the bathroom) I dont even have to cook dinner, as we are using up things from the freezer (HM ready meals) Mind you, tomorrow i will be doing a BIG clean, as im putting the xmas decs up, and as you cant really clean properly with all of the decs in the way, another reason i love xmas so much (but also why im so keen to get them put away again once xmas is over!!!!)
Right, off to have a browse before dinner.
    Have a lovely evening everyone
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Evening All.

Is it evening yet - well it feels like it.

    Been in work since 8.

Gingin - I felt so sad when I read your post, especially for your poor grandma. ((hugs)) to you all.

DDs birthday tomorrow (she'll be 2) so celebrations and cake tomorrow night.

Lentil soup for dinner tonight - i think I've got some focaccia in the freezer (naughty - I know I ought to know exactly what's in my freezer at all times:rotfl: ).

Hanging around work - don't want to leave until at least 6 cos otherwise the traffic is horrendous. I need to get home in time to do homework though, and "encourage" DH to give dining room floor its last coat of varnish. Once he's done that we can get the furniture back in there and not have a living room that looks like an auction rooms (and not posh auction rooms)

    Take care everyone.

    Evening all,

dlb That's a bit naughty of your in-laws!

Snowy - I'm sure you've already heard/tried this, but could you not make your own hair care stuff?

researcher Yay for your curtains being completely relined! I love unexpected bargains!

CCStar How did it go with your son last night (haven't checked the rest of yesterdays thread yet, so sorry if you've already posted about it!

gingin Sorry to hear about your grandad. Hugs to all concerned

Well, yesterday's saga with my birth certificate is ongoing. I wont be starting work tomorrow, and the guy from the employment agency didnt even bother to offer me an alternative job to apply for  My Dad has written to the Big Cheese of the company now, because its caused my parents -and me- so much distress (and frankly, its all a load of nonsense that the agency are spouting)

Had to trek all the way into town today because I couldn't find the bubble wrap I'd 'stored'. so picked up some more and Ebay parcel has gone :j Other items on Ebay are doing very well considering I only listed them yesterday - I must be getting better at this lark!

Surprise bargain of the day - bought X Men Trilogy from Wooolies @29.97, found it was actually cheaper on their website (27.97) so took it back, now have been and bought it from their website at a cost of 24.97 + 5% cashback! Wahey! So, Christmas is getting there

Going to do the ironing now.

    Breakfast: Toast/cereal
    Lunch: Boiled egg
    Dinner: Chicken casserole

Hope you all had a good day xx

    Evening everyone :hello:

Lucie - the Bridgeclimb is brilliant, isn't it! Glad you enjoyed your trip, even if the rugby results weren't all fantastic.

    gingin ((((hugs))))

I'm now without a job! I'm so relieved and I feel sooooo good. DH and I are going out tonight to "celebrate"! I didn't shed one tear, which isn't like me at all as normally I'm the first one to blub. All the staff staying seemed to be quite envious of me........ :D I did get some lovely presents - I felt a bit of a fraud, leaving half way through a week and no where near the end of term.... The children were super today. I even had one boy (who is incredibly chatty to the point of ignoring everything else going on around him, including the lesson!) come up to me and tell me how I was the nicest and best teacher he'd ever had and he'd cried last night AND this morning (in assembly, when I was presented with some flowers). I nearly started then, but decided against it! Maybe he could have told the head that?

So, my plans for being jobless include: signing up with my previous supply agency and going to see my parents tomorrow for a couple of days. DH will have to fend for himself, but I'm sure that he will cope. There are fishcakes in the freezer and veggies in the fridge, so it'll keep him going for a day or so.

I'd better go because there's a pile of ironing calling me - and I actually have time to do it!

    for now.

no but there is a annual fee to pay.. last time we used it 2 years ago it was £25 for 2 membership cards so you could get another member of the family to split it with you .. if in doubt ring them or go in and ask

    Evening everyone.

Well im glad its nearly time for bed!!
Spent 3 hours decorating the boys school ready for xmas fair on friday, came home and have done loads of washing and scrubbed the kitchen floor on hands and knees ( it is the horrible standard council tiles that dont come clean unless you scrub them with a scourer!!)

And inbetween all that i have recieved 6 nasty emails and 1 phone call and 2 answer phone messages from my mum ( we havent spoken for almost 5 years now) So not feeling brilliant about that, she is still sending them as i type, but im being strong and not replying even thought the stuff she is saying really hurts.
This is the first time iv heard from her in about 6 months thought she had stopped messing with my head, but guess not!!

Right off to settle down talk to u all tommorw
