:hello: Morning!
Have just had my veg box delivered and I have a bag of jerusalem artichokes!
not sure what I can do with them as have never had them before.
Been away resting after a very busy weekend. Good news is I have very nearly finished Christmas pressie shopping :xmassmile :j just have a lot of wrapping to do. I managed to make another 6 decoupage cards so must start to address them ready for postage. On Sat night we went to our first Christmas dinner of the season, seemed really strange (but fun) to be pulling crackers and eating turkey in November. We have another one on Thursday!
I still haven't made my mincemeat yet
so really must go sort that out today. On Friday we are going to France (booze run) well that and choccies etc I prefer to take the trolley up and down the food and homeware sections and leave the men with the wine lists ( strangely they prefer that too!:rotfl: )
(((Hugs))) to everyone
I love the Christmas avvys too! Wish I knew how to give my avvy cat some Christmas glitter.
I am sadly not very gifted with computers.
woohoo! edited to say I got one!! Thank you Wanty! you are so clever! and Thank you Aussie Lass for pointing me in the right direction!

Morning everyone
I was up early this morning ( 6:15 a.m.) to act as support worker for penninewoman as she scrabbled around finding, modifying and printing out permission letters to give to her students at school for an enterprise day at the local football club on Friday. I thought she did well considering she didn't get to bed until after 2 a.m. this morning . . . . . but she had been sleeping on the new sofa downstairs since about 9 p.m. . . . .:o
Then feed cats, let big cat out, and then in, and then out again. And feed Stranger Cat who wanders around outside but demands feeding with us. I'm sure she has a home somewhere else around here . . . .
Then take car to dealer to fix fault with reversing lights. It needed new switch. But found the service, as usual, brilliant. I took the car in at 8:45 a.m.; was received by gorgeous receptionist . . . mmmmmm . . . . who made me cup of decaff coffee and sat me down in front of wall-mounted plasma screen TV; then service manager came out and said hello as did the garage boss man himself.
The car was ready (and washed) by 9:20 a.m., and done under warranty so no cost, so I wished everyone an early Merry Christmas and drove off to spend some money in the local M&S - all food items.
Now back home, checking cats and then off to my mum's.
Sorry to hear about your granddad gingin.
Very sad.Where now?0 -
Hiya all :hello:
I reckon the reason Nels thought it was the 22nd is because she wants another girlie shopping weekend in Leeds
Hmmmm - we'll go to another hotel though!
Anyway, hope everyone is well and ((hugs)) to those who aren't and who have sick rellies.
Have already been into town - cheques into bank, picked up Mr TM's parcels from the PO and looked for his pressie, but I'm all shopped out  Mind you - had a look at the bank account last night. I have budgeted for xmas, as I do all the shopping, but it's unbelieveable what he's spent this past month!!
So, rest of today is to be spent in that OS pastime of cleaning. I'm going to put a casserole in the SC now and there are a couple of loads of washing to dry. Ironing tonight ... whoopee
The whole house needs a thorough going over. Other than that - nothing exciting here. Oh, need to put the BM on too :rotfl:
So, more ((hugs)) to all and when I get a chance, I'll have a better read of the threads.
See ya

Thanks everyone for the recipes. I can't thank you as it seems to have gone all weird.
Must be the site atm. I will check out what other ingred I've got lurking and work out what I"ll make tomorrow from your posts. I'm too tired tonight.
Glad to hear you enjoyed your trip Lucie. When I watched the Tri-Nations on the telly I thought of you. Especially when you lost.
I know things are a lot cheaper here, we found that out about 2 years ago when we holidayed in the UK. Although some things in the UK are, but not the staple things IYKWIM. There aren't too many crawly things here embb, promise.
Swats spider near the monitor.

Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.
