I will need a new mobile phone as soon as I get a job, and have narrowed it down to these two models but simply can't decide between them. I may be doing some self employed work, so would need one that had the best business capability as well as internet etc.
Not too worried about a top flight camera as I prefer my seperate digital compact for taking pics. Needs to be fairly easy to master (although DD would probably give me lessons).
If you had to chose - which one would you go for????

If you don't know, then go for the less expensive one. I think both have similar 'business capability' exceeding your demands.0

iPhone. Has longest battery life and best app support. There's some hokey stuff been turning up on the android app stores.0

If I had to chose I'd go for the HD, but this is personal opinion, I prefer the way they look and the way they work. I also just am not a Samsung fan for reasons I wont go into here.
If your unsure try the phones4u website which has a review section where customers have written short reviews on their handsets.0 -

I have a Desire HD... i would never consider using it as a corporate phone. It's battery life just isn't good enough. Don't get me wrong, its a great phone - just that the battery does struggle to last a full working day.0

Hi
I own the Galaxy S and everything is fine except there is quite some lag using email applications, might be just my set up
Battery life is ok IF you switch off some of the apps.

Personally, of the 2 I prefer the Samsung Galaxy S however another possibility worth a look is the Nokia N8, it has a much better build quality , better camera and pretty good battery life. At present it is available on Tesco Mobile for £20/month with free handset/ 750 mins /5000 texts and 1gb of internet.0

Galaxy S mark 2 is due for release soon .
battery life on my SGS as good as Daughters IPhone 4 .
APPS yet to find one on IPhone that's not covered in some way on Android .
Android app store agree one developer was dodgy and one or two products are still really beta .
I am a fan of Samsung and have a large number of Samsung products so its fair to say i am biased .

Hi, I don't anticipate it being left constantly switched on, as I always turn my phone off when doing interviews, have heard that battery life is pretty naff with most of the android phones.
Will check out the Nokia next time I'm in a phone shop to see what it feels like as I have mild arthritis I need something that's not too slim and light so I have a better grip.
Off to the phones 4 u website to read reviews as well. Don't need to make a final decision for a couple of weeks so time to do further research.0 -
