The contact your bank has with Sky will be able to follow your money and connect this with a purchase, if they cannot do this you will get your money back.
You need to go through the processes so that when you take them to county court you can show you have taken reasonable steps.
Erm... NO... "Sky would obviously have no reason to want to do that as they cannot find my old account. As far as Sky are concerened, I could just be lying."...0

Well I guess that just goes to show that it can be the lottery of who you come through to when it comes to call centres! Old account found, process of refunding underway. She needed to go though her manager after the call to work out the exact amount, but she said "a lot" so a full refund does sound promising. I have all of her contact details and she'll be giving me a call back before the end of next week to confirm amounts and where things go from here. I have to say, she was absolutely brilliant. I've never done this before, but I actually asked her how you go about leaving positive feedback for staff. I don't think it's an exaduration to say that that's the best call centre worker and call centre experience that i've ever had. And yes, I would still say that if she hadn't been responsible for getting me lots of pennies!
 Emma in cancellations, you're a star!!0
