As I didn't write them until AFTER they suggested that I lied and didn't understand how paypal work, yes. Or is that not ok? But it is alright for them to say those things to me??? And I wasn't being rude, thanks.

Never stoop to their level and re-read your messages to check they are not going to be miscontrued. For example unnecessary capital letters, defensive OKs, extra question marks, and sarcastic thanks (all evident in your post above) are not going to paint a pretty picture of you. It's all about context. If there's a chance someone will read it wrong (as they can only read your message, not hear it) add a relevant smiley or leave it out.

On the rare occasion someone's been rude to me on this forum I have told them so in a civilised fashion. They have always apologised and said they did not mean to offend, and we have agreed to disagree on the subject. I do not however feed the trolls who are intent on winding you up.

I've read through the original comments and yes, in this situation it seemed you were the rude one. People will disagree with you sometimes- that's life. If someone corrects you, check your facts. You can then politely argue your point or humbly accept their correction. For the record I've never seen Soolin's posts as rude, but I can understand she probably gets tired going over this kind of thing so often and so seemed a bit curt on this occasion.

I would love to, but I am not that mean. I come on here to get advice, and give it when I can. If that's all the thanks I get, I don't think I'll bother anymore :(

OP - You're petulant, rude and obnoxious... FACT :)

I often make blunt posts and often get flack back. I respond with reasoning and a more detailed explanation of my comments. What I DON'T do, is make a post whining like a child that people are being nasty to me.

If you give out incorrect information which readers are likely to accept as truth, expect the more knowledgeable to batter your (incorrect) comments. It's for the greater good of the board to ensure the replies are accurate.

    Grow up.

    Woah!

How am I coming across as rude??

The OP asked advice, I gave it, and for my trouble was accused of lying and told "to learn how to use paypal properly". And I'm being rude?

There was me thinking I was informing them what could (and did) happen.

(Note to self - Naughty jaibaby! Musn't do that!)

I have never found soolin rude.Soolin didn't "accuse" you,Soolin was trying to protect you.

One question mark is usually enough.
    Why use three?
