sunflower growing competition

Just thought I'd pop by and see how everyone's sunflowers are coming along. I have about 5 or 6 at around the 3 foot mark (optimistic). I'll get out and measure tomorrow. They may have had a growth spurt overnight with all today's rain
Smashed through my weightloss target. Looking at 120lbs+ loss. BMI over 40 down to 20.5. Training hard to get body fat under 20%, not far to go now :j0 -
Well our sunflowers have survived! And the kids have 12 between them, so we have a few BUT they are certainly not tall, probably between 50 - 70cms!!! Somehow don't think we shall be winning any prizes but I am just glad they are all in the ground and too big for massive slug damage!Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death.

One of mine has got to about 1.4m and flowered. If it stops raining, I'm going to go out later and have a serious talk about the unacceptability of this behaviour with the others.0

Not at 2' you don't.
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
I have 4 at just about waist height, but looking rather healthy. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

When are we putting photos up?Debt Free Date:10/09/2007 :j :money:0 -
When are we putting photos up?
I would guess when you want to put in your best and final height if you're entering for tallest one.
Depending on the variety and when they were sown, some may not reach their maximum height/multi heads/shortest! etc till August.
But I would guess most will be at their peak by the end of July.0
