Please don`t assume that I am stupid Fred.
I would not have mentioned anything about special needs if I knew nothing about the subject. I find your general tone towards those who are trying to offer advice somewhat short.
You are in danger of alienating yourself from the posters on here who can offer you help. IMO1/11/06 -1/06/07 BSC #42

prob best to get rid of it, its just a luxury.
Its all about getting your mindset into saving money, everyone thinks things are important but when you sit down and think about it there are alternatives that don't cost money.
If you want something educational, try the local library or the internet. Both can be used for free.
Hey thanks for your great peice of advice!! You can help even more by telling me what to get from there that will help them educational and mentally.Have you got a job yet?
NO? Then :shhh:0 -

Could you get a gardening book out the library and buy (or collect from park, ask for on freecycle) some seeds and do some gardening instead. As in apply the education and maybe grow some free veg.
As for style programmes go to your local free museum/art gallery instead.0 -

If you have read up on Aspergers then you will know.
Fred doesn`t want it for education, just looking for any excuse to get it back.1/11/06 -1/06/07 BSC #42

Damn you have caught me out :T
Sky will no longer be available in my house from April 2nd, it will not appear back until we can comfortabily afford it. It will be difficult but we will cope as we have done with all the crap life constantly throws at us.
With respect, if we could do the things like going to the library we would, but as tightjock say I/we are just looking for any excuse to get sky back  :mad:Have you got a job yet?

This is just a suggestion and you may have already tried it but is there any Aspergers associations or support groups where you could ask for help for your daughters. Surely other parents of Aspergers children would have some good ideas.0

Hello All Out There!
First of all, I'd like to thank Martin for all the advice on his website. You've no idea the amount of courage he has given me, and of course, the advice and tips have given me bags of confidence to go ahead and 'tackle' some of the issues that I am dealing with. It's also 're-assuring' (sorry about that phrase!) to know that others are sharing a similar boat with me.
I am 41 years old, with an infant child. I am getting everything that I am entitled to, but boy is it hard dealing with creditors. I contacted a free debt advisory company, after going to the CAB who did absolutely nothing for me, and I ended up worse off, but I appreciate that they are voluntary and their services have been cut, but I HAD to do something, as my health condition worsened and I was 'tipped' over the edge with all this, and I only have myself to blame really.
I have worked since I was 15 years of age, until not realising what was 'around the corner' my health deteriorated. I had to give up full time employment, and continued to pay all my debts until I'd say, the last two years. Some banks and credit card companies 'passed' me over to what I'd call 'the lowlifes' (debt companies), and one or two are fine and I pay like £5 per month, but when I can't manage a month to pay some, or would you believe a top listing bank (the one who has just awarded their staff AT LEAST £7,500 in this months salary as a reward!), are THE PITS. They've ploughed me worse into debt, ignore my letters, pass the buck on the 'phone when I call them, and I am at my wits end. My little baby is my life, and I realise now that my 'health is my wealth', but when those 'doubters and worriers' are jumping on your brain all the time and you can't concentrate or get through the day without being on edge, it is just criminal really. I've taken the step of requesting to my bank to provide me with the detail of charges over the last 6 years. It's amazing to hear that they have gotten away with this 'overcharging' us wee 'Joe Publics' over the years and now we can 'all stand up and be heard'. I manage the account well, but for a while, the new Manager is a right company man, a powertripper, as well as a few of the staff and it's those one's who have been downright rude and shoddy with me when I've asked them to refund the 'charges' as I've always maintained my account well, but the way they treated me, you'd think they owned the bloomin' bank! That is how I felt. They 'fed me' all sorts of junk apart from giving me the correct information, and I often wonder 'are they in the same boat as me?', if now, what goes around comes around, because at the end of the day, it costs nothing to be civil. I decided to write anyway and 'reclaim', so fingers x'd. If my claim is successful, it would be wonderful to put this to some of my outstanding debts and bring me out of the red.
I gotta run, but thanks for 'listening'. Power and knowledge to you all. Be safe, stay healthy, and nice to meet you.
Thanks for allowing me to read some of your entries.

With respect - I think that you need to try and be more optomistic. Everyone has crap thrown at them, but you need to work out whether you are going to throw it back, or wipe it off and get on with it. :rolleyes:0
