If you believe that Sky is helping the girls to learn then why not spend some of the DLA on funding it? I thought that DLA was for helping with extra expenses linked to their disability?0 -

I dont think for one minute that anyone expects you to detail every part of your life.
When you put on your SOA and ask for help, people go out of their way to offer it to you, in their own time, for no personal gain.
As far as I know, nobody is judging you - I am not - everyone comes here for different reasons and you and only you know what yours is.
The suggestions made here are really relevant - I totally understand why you feel the need to get prickly about it - I did when people told me to get rid of sky - and other things - I could have come back with all sorts of reasons why I NEEDED them!0 -

Most of these are available on Freeview top up for a lot less money. Or on video/Dvd. I struggle to see the educational value in style and gardening programmes.
Noone has asked for every detail of your life , you have generally volunteered it.Sorry if you think I am prying, fred, but you posted on here looking for help. I am only trying to help as are many others on this thread.
If you don`t want or like the advice you are being offered, then don`t ask for it.
I will leave it there. I hope you manage to get yourself sorted but somehow, having read this from start to finish, I doubt it.
Good luck1/11/06 -1/06/07 BSC #42

I dont know what happened to get the other thread pulled, but whatever it was, it doesnt mean that you are right and everyone else who doesnt agree is wrong!!
Everyone is entitled to an opinion - as far as I can see on this thread most people were just offering help to you.0 -
I don't really see how sky is educational
prob best to get rid of it, its just a luxury.
Its all about getting your mindset into saving money, everyone thinks things are important but when you sit down and think about it there are alternatives that don't cost money.
If you want something educational, try the local library or the internet. Both can be used for free.Save save save!!0
