£5 per year?!!

I would imagine a "fool" who has the income and expense figures provided to them by the NRP and has a calculator to figure it out with. The figures were provided in court so I would think they would be correct. He could be convicted of perjury if he was found to be lying to the court.
Yes they can only work with the figures given. The likelihood of this man having provided his true income is highly remote, in my opinion. He hardly sounds like a conscientious type who has his childs best interests at heart.0 -

Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Oh, I wonder who put it into the OP's son's head that he could be adopted by mum's new partner? Because we all know that a 9 year old won't have suddenly dreamt that one up on his own.They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0

Just because an award is £5 per year then he is lying... How much does a self employed plasterer on the Isle of Man earn? He has provided figures a determination was made and an award of £5 per was made by a court. It can be appealed but what award should be made considering he has 4 other children to support and he has costs associated with visiting this child which can be used in the calculation to make an award? The rates I used are from job ad's in Isle of Man of £14 per hour for an experienced plasterer less some reasonable travel and work related expenses to make £300 per week declareable income.
Well done you for looking into it so deeply :rotfl:
Why someone would when just answering a post on an internet forum is beyond me, most people have better things to do with their time. Fact is none of us know exactly what he earns. You cant determine that just by looking at job ads.0 -

How naive to think that just because the figures were produced, that they have to be true. My ex supplied one set of figures to the inland revenue which were stupidly low, which would put him below the benefits leve, (yet he never claimed any tax credits???) and another set for his mortgage application. Guess which ones the CSA got and used? I had to appeal with evidence that it was 1)impossible for a family of 4 to live on such a low figure knowing that the housing costs took up virtually all of it and 2) how much he was likely to have been paid knowing he is a builder - I produced over 100 job adverts proving that he must be the only builder in the country earning at least 80% less than all the rest! This was accepted by the tribunal as he was asked for counter evidence and he refused to supply it.0 -

A competent plasterer on £300/week ?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I know plasterers on £300/day !0 -

:eek::eek::eek:
Jesus I was robbed. The plasterer we used charged way more than that. £14 per hour for an experienced plasterer - as if. Think that must have been a typo in the add. No decent plasterer would work for that amount. All that hard work you went to for nothing :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
A loving daddy who is in the forces, still keeps contact with his children and will still be paying for them.So you aren't actually aware that there are indeed deadbeat dads in forces aswell.
So you aren't actually aware that he/she didn't say there wasn't? Read what you quoted again.
OP, there are lots of deadbeat dads who hang around this forum, so just ignore them. I bet you can't guess which ones they are.:rotfl:
Just watch them post about this now.RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.
