E-mail addresses are pretty much public domain material these days!
I used to be an avid user of ZoneAlarm security software until I discovered it was possible to view their other customers' purchases, by simply changing a single digit in the URL!!0 -
I've had this same email from 4 different companies so far in the last week.

Paranoia or what ?
M & S use HSBC for their card processing.
If you worried about stuff like this you'd never leave the house again.
Don't sweat the small stuff, there are people in Japan who would love to have your "problems"0 -
Always uncheck/check unnecessary marketing boxes, when registering for a site.0

I must say I'm suprised to see so many people who don't care about where their email address ends up.
I do care, I've had my email address for a long time, from when I was travelling a lot. Some people who have it have no other way of contacting me. I had an email from a friend in Australia from an email address I didn't recognise, now if I had spam filters turned on there is a good chance I would of missed that email.
If people don't complain or close accounts when things like this happen then there is no incentive for companies to protect our data.0 -
I have been inundated with trashy spam e mails for 2 days - and this explains it !
I do voluntary work for a childrens charity and can't change my e mail address easily as there are families who may need to contact me - so even if I updated the address, I;d still need to keep the old one to pick up any e mails from clients.
The annoying thing is, I only used the blumming M&S online account to send flowers as a thank you to a volunteer who did some work for our charity !!!!!!
still on the up upside - if I need any cheeky, nymphomaniac girls, or any male genitalia enhancers I now have a whole pile of e mails from which to obtain such delights ! :eek:0
