Evening all - been battling a migraine today - I always seem to get them when the house has fallen apart! So no HW done today (shame really!!) Did take lawnmower in to be serviced though (it doesn't work, so a service is cheaper than a new one!). Tomorrow the weather is supposed to be slightly warmer (if still blowing a gale!) so I'll be cleaning and tidying in the house (with NO BREAKS!!!) and I need to pick up the greenhouse and contents that the wind blew over last week. Don't know if I'll save any plants, but need to get sorted now.

So NO posting tomorrow, no lurking - just getting on with things and NO Putting things off!! well, maybe just a bit!

Sunshine - why not treat yourself to a nice bubble bath, candles and a favourite old movie - perhaps even a facepack and a cheap bag of popcorn!
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

Bread - is it worth making some dough tonight, leaving it in the fridge tonight to rise, knocking down in the morning, then fridge to rise till after school run or are my times too long?

Yeast needs warmth to work with the sugar and water, so the fridge is a definite no, no, but just cover the bowl with a clean tea towel and leave it on the worktop until the morning.

I put some dough in the BM this morning for teacakes to be read at 10 am, however I then forgot it, and just did it around 6pm, nu then the dough was trying to push the lid off the BM. :o They are just proving again now and will cook them shortly. DG

Well we have not long returned from the indian, I really shouldnt have gone concidering Shingles, wasnt to many ppl in there as a week night so it was our little secret.Have had a wonderfull day rounded of by an equally wonderfull evening, great food, good music and the hugest cake I think I have ever seen for a b'day .The boys took it in after picking it up from the bakers this afternoon. So I have been totally spoilt from start to finish, All I can manage to do now is pop my new slippers on and stretch out and watch recorded Emmerdale and E'enders. Thank you all once again for the birthday wishes.

I don't see why not? Mayonaise will do if you have nothing else, just doesn't smell that nice :rotfl:Add some slices of cucumber for your eyes and keep them shut for five minutes. try and stop the inner dialogue or at least focus it in something positive - i usually plan the garden.
